Do you know snails (蜗牛). They are interesting, aren't they?

People all say snails "walk", but most of the time snails don't move at all. They are in their shells (壳) —1 .

Study tours (研学) are generally known for "learning while travelling". They are quite different from traditional (传统的) classroom learning. They give students first-hand experiences so that they can do better in cultural cultivation (文化修养), life skills and physical health. In 2016, a guideline (指导方针) by the Ministry of Education and 10 other departments in China promoted study tours for primary, middle and high schools. 

Many schools have put this form of learning into practice. Primary school students from Anshun, Guizhou Province, toured Balinghe Bridge (坝陵河大桥) near the city. They saw different parts of this huge bridge. "I learned why physics, chemistry and geology (物理、化学和地质学) are important in building bridges in the mountains," said Zhang Wanling, one of the students. She admired (敬佩) the engineers behind such a bridge. 

Study tours are helpful to students' learning abilities, interests and hobbies. Wu Ning works at the bridge science museum next to Balinghe Bridge. According to Wu, the museum developed study tour programmes (活动) for students of different ages, from primary to middle and high schools.

Hi! I am a middle school student. Since the "double reduction" policy ("双减"政策), our school life has a lot of changes (变化). Let me tell you about  school life.

From Monday to Friday, I have four classes in the  and three classes in the afternoon. I am busy  I need to learn a lot. Of all the classes, English classes are my  classes. That is because in English classes I can play  and sing English songs. And I have a lot of things to do  class. I have a piano lesson for one hour. It is really . After getting home, I do my homework  an hour and a half. Every week we have three P. E. classes. We can play , volleyball and soccer. We have a good time in P. E. classes. P. E. is  for my body. On the weekend, I don't have after-school classes. So I have more time to read and do what I want to do.

Family is a very  part (部分) for us. It  us many things. Our parents teach us how to friends and be nice to . And brothers and sisters show us how to share and help each other.

 It's a good way to time with our family. We can play games, go to travel, and eat . These activities always make us . In hard times, our  are often with us. With their help, we can feel better and better (越来越好).

 Maybe your family is  from others', but every family has the  idea—to live a happy life together. So, remember to love and thank your family. Family is a special gift (礼物) that makes your life wonderful.

Outdoor Education Camp (户外教育野营活动)

Dear parents,

Our Outdoor Education Camp is just around the corner! We  happy to be going to camp. Don't worry about their safety. We will them well. During the camp, students can gain skills in different parts. It will also  their confidence (信心).

While at camp students will in classes and activities on the rope course (绳索课程). We will start in the low ropes, and progress to the high ropes.

The camp will last for about 3 days in Red Rocks Park, Colorado. Students  to be at school at 7 a.m. on July 28th. Remember to an umbrella (伞) or a raincoat. They will come back at 7 p. m, on July30th.

The Parent Committee (家委会)  their best to help raise (募集) some money. So the cost of the camp is 270 dollars for each student.

Leo is a middle school student. One day he comes home after school. He does very 1 in his school test, so he's very happy. When he gets home, he doesn't see 2 mom in the living room. "Is my mother not at home?" Leo thinks.

"Mom, 3 are you?" Leo asks.

"I am in the kitchen, Leo! I want to 4 some chocolate cakes for you. They' re your favorite 5 , right?" Mom says.

"Yes!" Leo comes to the kitchen and says, "I get an A in my 6 test today, Mom. My math teacher says I'm a(an) 7 student and that I am good at answering these difficult questions."

"That 8 great. I'm really proud of my boy." says Mom. "One chocolate cake is OK 9 the table at the corner. You can go and eat it first."

But Leo doesn't see the cake. He looks for it everywhere and at last (最后), he finds his dog Grace enjoying that cake under the table. Grace sees Leo too, and it runs away (逃跑) with the cake. Leo has to ask his mom for 10 one.
