Hello! I am a Yangtze Finless Porpoise and people call me jiangtun in Chinese. I am a special kind of freshwater animal, and I only live in the Yangtze River in China.

I can grow up to 2.3 meters long. My w  is between 72 and 123 kilos. I have a round head and no dorsal fin (背鳍). My smooth body helps me swim freely u  the river. People think I am s  when they see me for the first time. But it is not a sign of happiness. It is just a natural feature on my face.

I eat different fish in different seasons. I am a shy animal, so I don't often come to the s  of the water if people are around. During the day, I can jump o  of the water to breathe. At night, I sleep more.

Sadly, my family is in great danger. In 2023, scientists f  that there were only about 1,249 of us. Too many human activities on the river bring trouble to us. Because our number is becoming smaller and smaller, many kind people are working hard to s  our lives.

China gave me special care. Now I am a National First Grade Protected Animal. But scientists are still w  about our future. They think we may die one day. They are studying us to be a  to know more about our health. They hope to find better ways to protect us.

They were looking down at a magical valley. There were green grasslands on both sides. A great brown river ran through it. Along the river, there was a big waterfall. The water fell down a high mountain and made a loud sound.

Below the waterfall, there was the most amazing view of all. There were more than twelve big pipes (吸管) in the river. They sucked up (吸) the brown liquid (液体) from the river and carried it away. Because the pipes were made of glass, everyone could see the liquid running and bubbling inside. Above the noise of the waterfall, they could hear the pipes going suck-suck-suck.

"There!" cried Mr Wonka. He pointed (指) his golden stick at the great brown river. "It's all chocolate! The river is full of hot chocolate of the best quality!"

"Isn't it great? And just look at my pipes! They suck up the chocolate and carry it away to all the other rooms in the factory. Thousands of gallons (加仑) every hour! Thousands and thousands of gallons!"

The children and their parents were flabbergasted by the chocolate river. They were amazed and just stood with their mouths open.
