Ningbo, a city in Zhejiang Province, has successfully started a pretty wonderful autumn break for all students. Short holidays play an important (作用；角色)in helping students get ready for new study tasks. The young learners were excited about the (到达) of the holiday, which turned into a nice five-day rest including the weekend.

During the break, many students traveled with their families. Their parents (抽出) time from their busy work to join the trips and share happy moments together. They took the chance to visit (几个；一些) famous historical sites. Some took photos to record the wonderful scenes they found. China's first humanoid robot (人形机器人) 7S store was opened on Nov. 11 in Hubei. The store gets its name from the "7S" concept: Sale, Spare parts, Service, Survey, Solution, Show, and School.

The store mainly sells robots made by companies in big cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, with the help from two well-known universities. You can see many Hubei-made robots here, like "Laborer", "Voyager", "Shennong" and "Guangzi". Their prices are from 7,999 yuan to over 700,000 yuan. They can be used in many ways, like working in factories to make products, helping tourists and even looking after old people at home. Customers can buy robots directly in the store, customize (定制) robots, and even get help with money. It's just as easy as buying a car.

"I am so hungry!" said one hiker. "Do you think that's an apple tree? I want a big, fresh, red apple!" "Oh, that's not an apple tree," said the other. "It's a pear tree! Pears are my favourite. I want a sweet, juicy, yellow pear!" But when they arrived at the tree, they found that there were no apples or pears. In fact, there was no fruit at all. "Aw, boo!" said one hiker. "It's a useless oak tree (橡树)!" Just then, the sky turned gray and it started to rain. The two hikers ran under the oak tree to stay dry.

It rained and rained, but the oak tree was like a big umbrella. The hikers didn't get wet. They waited under the oak tree for the rain to stop.

"I'm cold," said one hiker. "We should make a fire. Help me collect some wood!" Luckily, there were many old branches under the oak tree. The two hikers got the old branches (树枝) from the oak tree and made a nice campfire out of them. They sat beside the fire to warm themselves. "I'm tired," said one hiker. "We should sleep here tonight. Help me make a bed!" The hikers made their beds out of soft, green oak leaves. They put out the fire, lay down and fell asleep.

Sometimes, things that seem useless can actually bring unexpected help.
