The earth is full of water. But do you know most  the water on the earth is sea water?  we all know, sea water is not suitable(不合适的) for drinking. So we need  make fresh water from it. And people spend a lot of time and money  that. We already(已经) have some ways to get fresh water  the sea, but we still want to find more ways. We are sure to get more clean fresh water from the sea.

Water is so important for us. About 60% of our human body is water. When we are little babies, about 80% of our body is water. 

If(如果) we don't drink  water, we may fall ill(生病). Also we can't work  if we don't drink water. Fruit and vegetables can  us with water. So we should eat them every day.

We drink water every day. But do we know the right way to drink water? Here are some  for you. When we get up in the morning, start our day  

a cup of water. After  sports, we shouldn't drink cold water. We had better drink warm water.  we all know, we should drink at least(至少) 8 cups of water every day. But don't drink much water before  after meals(三餐). We should  a good habit of drinking water. 

 In , water is important to the body. Drink water every day and keep healthy.

Water can be everywhere.  

Rainwater, water in rivers, lakes and oceans are all surface water. Some other kinds of water in nature are also surface water, such as glaciers(冰川) and swamps(沼泽).  But some seas and lakes have color. That's because something in the water gives them that color. 

 It comes from the deep ground. And it is usually very clean. So people use it to drink. 

 But they easily get dirty if people do something bad, such as throwing litter into rivers and lakes, and using too much chemical fertilizer(肥料) when farming. So we should not do these things in our daily life.

There is a big lake in the north of our village. It's about 24 square kilometers in size and about 12 meters deep. It's about 5 kilometers away from the center of our village. 

A lot of people from the neighbor(邻居) villages come to visit the lake every year. There are pretty flowers around the lake. There is also a small pavilion(亭子) in the center of the lake. People can walk to the pavilion to watch birds or take photos. 

Most of people like to take a walk around the lake. They talk and walk with their friends, and enjoy the tall and green trees along the road. Birds are singing and dancing in the trees. All of these make them happy and relaxed(放松的).  

Grandpa Liu is a fisherman(渔夫). He lives in a small town near the Changjiang River. He fishes by the river for a living(生存). This year, he joins a special team(队). This team works to protect the Changjiang River. There are four elderly members in his team. Every Monday and Friday morning, they get up early to check the bank(岸上) of the Changjiang River. They collect rubbish from the river or the bank when they find it. They work by the river two days a week, and three hours a day. Every time, they can collect lots of rubbish. One day, they even collect ten kilos! It is a large amount(数量)! They don't think it is a good habit to litter around by the river. It's easy to make the water dirty. They hope people can throw litter into the dustbin and protect the river.
