Mount Fanjing is a beautiful place.  It is also 1 member of the World Heritage Site list (世界遗产名录).

A small food store owner found it was difficult to keep records of the product information. In 1948, he contacted (联系) the Drexel Institute of Technology to solve this problem. Bernard Silver was interested in it and he began tolook intoit. Silver and his students realized their answer in the form of ultraviolet light (紫外线), ink and a scanner (扫描仪).

The system did work at first, but it's very expensive and sometimes the system didn't work well. If the invention was to become popular in grocery stores, the problems had to be solved. Finally, Silver solved them.

The patent (专利权) for the bar code system was asked by Silver and Woodland in 1949. But the patent was not given until 1952. Although this patent was given, the system was still not popular among store owners. In 1966, the system began moving its way into more grocery stores.

Logicon developed the Universal Grocery Products Identification Number (通用标识码) in 1970. Marsh's superstore in lroy was the first store to set up this bar code reading system. It became very popular ever since, and now it's obviously popular in all types of stores worldwide (在世界各地).

First, we begin learning our music. We usually start by learning the notes, and then we add the words. Someone comes in to teach us the meaning and pronunciation of the lyrics(歌词) if the words are not in English.

Next, we keep the whole song in mind, even if we only sing part of it. One of the hardest pieces we sang this year was Tjak. It has four parts, each with a different rhythm (节奏).

Once we add dynamics (力度变化) to our songs to give them life, it's time to addchoreography. Jacque Bird, the director, tells us to connect the words we sing to our movements as we breathe and count in our heads.

As we get closer to the concert night, the rehearsals (彩排) get harder. My knees and arms start to hurt. But once we get a break and some food, we come back feeling better. We rehearse on weekends for almost a month beforehand. Every moment is important and worth it.

The real excitement comes during the rehearsal, when we meet our guest artists. This year, YPC invited Mandy Gonzales, Alexandra Socha, and Time for Three to join us. After hearing that we would work with them, we jumped up and down.

Showtime! We sang with musical guests and performed wonderful dances. At the end of the night, we shouted with excitement. For all of us, pulling off the biggest performance of the year felt great.

First of all, it helps us （相信）in ourselves. When we face difficulties, we should tell ourselves, "I can do it!" This kind of thinking makes us stronger and more  （有信心的）. Sometimes life may feel

Hello, everybody. Today I will introduce a movie to you. name is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

There is a boy named Charlie, who lives in a small wooden house with his family. They are  but happy. From the window of Charlie's room, he can see the world's largest chocolate factory Wonka Chocolate Factory. One day, Mr Wonka announced（宣布）that he would invite five children to the factory. Charlie is the fifth one who got the ticket.

 If you don't eat a good breakfast, you will be thinking about food in class. If you go to bed late and do not have enough sleep, you will be sleepy in class. Play some sports to keep your body strong.

Never put off today's work to tomorrow. Do not say you will do things tomorrow. If you get behind the class, it is very difficult to get back in front. You cannot finish a race if you rest all the time. So remember:

Face the problems bravely. Sometimes they are only the result of misunderstanding (误会). Don't be too embarrassed（尴尬的） to ask for help. You are young. No one will think you can do everything!

 Don't waste life lying in bed on Saturday or Sunday morning. Go and play a sport, learn the piano, read a book, practise English or help someone with problems. There are always a lot of things to do to spend the weekends.
