Lisa usually goes to Xingxing Store with her mother. Xingxing Store is small store. But it has lots of things and it sells  (good). Lisa likes the store she can buy many things there. And they are all at very good  (price).

I look at the clock and it's 4:28. The teacher is saying something, but I don't hear it, All I know is I am going to get out of here. It is Friday today!

I'm happy to share with you some of my changes. 

Everyone has a childhood. And childhood experiences are often very funny, which can make people (laugh). It's true that lovely (child) running around the house always brighten up a home. 

I often recall my childhood, the years when many interesting things happened. When I was two years old, both my parents were always very busy their work. My mother worked a sales manager in a company while my father served in  army. So I lived with my grandma in a village. I was always waiting for my parents at home. Once my father (send) us a photo of him in a soldier's uniform, which was (put)on the table, reminding me of him. 

One day, my mother came to see me and we went (shop) together. On the way we saw a group of soldiers. And when I saw them, I became very (excite). I said in a ringing voice, pointing to (they), "This is my father, and this is my father, and that is my father, too!" My mother said she would remember that moment all her life. 

After arriving in the US, I get a part-time job. I work (作为) a waiter in a Chinese restaurant. One day, when I was serving food to a middle-aged couple, the wife asked me how I could bring their food so quickly. I told her I always respect the elderly and wanted to be (有帮助的) for them. I found she became  (沉默的) and unhappy when she heard that. My manager was just (在······旁边) and he heard my words at that time. He led me to the (角落) and told me that Americans are sensitive and hate the description of"old". I then walked back to the table and  (礼貌地) said sorry to the wife. After they learned about the reason, they understood that the problem was caused by culture (差异), so they laughed. 

In the US, people think"growing old" is a problem. Here many people try to keep themselves away from growing old by (锻炼), like jogging or swimming. When I told the couple I respected the elderly, they got angry because this made them feel they (未能做到) to stay young. They didn't want to hear that. Now I have changed the way I treat the elderly. I still respect them, but now in a different and less (直接的) way. 

My family moved to the US last year from China. I have learned how to  help politely in English. "Where is the restroom?" or"Can you tell me where the restroom is?" are similar  for directions. Both are correct, but the first one sounds less polite. It is not enough to just ask a question . We also need to learn how to be polite when we ask for help. Polite questions are usually longer than direct questions and sometimes they sound a kind of request. It is important to learn how to use the right language in different situations. 

However, sometimes being polite can be mistaken. Let me another story with you…
