My name is Lisa. My sister finished high school two weeks ago. As a special gift, our parents took us to India. Last weekend was interesting but scary. 

We went camping in a small village in India. First, we took a long bus ride to a lake in the countryside. There we put up our tents and made a fire to keep us warm and cook food. On the first night, we just sat under the moon and told each other stories. But I was so tired that I went to sleep early. 

The next morning, my sister and I got a terrible surprise. When we looked out of our tent, we saw a big snake sleeping near the fire. I was so scared that I couldn't move. We shouted to our parents to let them know about the danger. My dad started to jump up and down in their tent, This woke the snake up and it moved into the forest near the lake. My dad told me later that snakes don't have ears but can feel things moving. He also told me it was important not to go near a snake. This was a very useful lesson for me. 

One morning, Ann's neighbor Tracy found a lost dog walking around the local middle school. She asked Ann if she could keep an eye on the dog. Ann said that she could watch it only for the day. 

Tracy took photos of the dog and printed 400 FOUND fliers（传单）, and put them in mailboxes. At the same time, Ann went to buy some food for the dog. She told her two sons not to fall in love with the dog. Ann's son Thomas was 10 years old, and Jack, who was recovering（恢复）from a heart operation（手术）, was 21 years old. 

Four days later Ann was still taking care of the dog, and they started to call it Riley. When she arrived home from work, the dog hit itself against the door and barked loudly at her. As soon as she opened the door, Riley rushed into the boys' room where Ann found Jack suffering from a heart attack（心脏病发作）. Riley ran over to Jack and stopped barking when Ann bent over to help Jack. 

"Without it, Jack would have died, " Ann reported to a local newspaper. By now, no one called to ask for the dog, so Ann wanted to keep it. 

The next morning Tracy got a call. A man named Peter recognized his lost dog and called the number on the flier. Tracy started crying, and told him, "That dog saved my friend's son. "

Peter drove to Ann's house to pick up his dog, and saw Thomas and Jack crying in the window. After a few moments Peter said, "Maybe Odie was supposed to find you, maybe you should keep it. "

Amy loves her school. Her class always get along well until it rained. That was when her class split (分裂) in two clubs — Puddle Jumpers(跳泥坑) and Puddle Stompers(踩泥坑). Both clubs wanted Amy to join them. Jumping and stomping looked like fun. But if she picked one club, she might hurt (伤害) the feelings of her friends in the other club. She was in trouble. After school, Amy's mother was waiting for her at the bus stop. 

"Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day!" said her mother. 

"Not another day, " said Amy, "Rain and puddles, don't come here. Come again another year!"

"Sorry, sweetie, " said her mother, "It is going to rain buckets (水桶) tonight. "

Amy was worried. Buckets of rain tonight meant hundreds of puddles(水坑) tomorrow!

At supper, Amy told her parents about her trouble. 

"Wow! You are in a club sandwich (三明治) , " said her father. 

Amy knew her father was joking, but at least he knew how she felt. 

"Why choose? Can't you join two clubs?" asked her mother. 

That was the answer! Amy knew what to do. The next day, it stopped raining right . The playground was full of puddles.  Amy didn't go to either club, but started her own one. First, she jumped over a puddle. Then she jumped into another one. Everyone wanted to join Amy's club, even Ms. Edwards. 

"Nice work, Amy. " said Ms Edwards, "By joining your own club, you joined the other two clubs together. "

Exercising is a good way to keep healthy. Lots of people keep healthy by playing sport, but some people are too busy to do sport. If you want to look for another way to exercise, walking is a good one.
