It's 2054. I'm sitting in my room, looking at the screen in front of me for a long time. A small sound breaks the quietness. It's a new message from Mia, my best friend for as long as I can remember.

As we pack our bags, another message comes in from Mia. Her family is also planning how to build their new home. They' ll plant trees with the people who live there. That gives me hope. Maybe all the families moving north will build a new future, different from the past. 

The next few years will be hard, but I'm ready for difficulties. Together, we' ll make the future better. 

Mark Levine, who was born in 1948, is an American country musician. In 2005, he came to work in China as a college English teacher in Huai' an of Jiangsu Province. Two years later, he moved to Beijing and began to teach in Minzu University of China. 

What made Levine stay in China? He said one of the reasons was that many Chinese people, especially young students, had little understanding of the US. They thought everybody in the US was very rich. Levine was interested in why this misunderstanding happened and wanted to correct(纠正) it. He himself also wanted to learn about China. 

After work, Levine often plays the guitar and sings songs. He also writes his experiences in China into his songs. He has already written more than 70 songs about China. One of his songs described a 24-hour train trip. It was after the Spring Festival and people got angry easily because they had to go back to work. Another song is about his friend's hometown in Hubei Province. He saw the fireworks there and people were busy preparing meals for theSpring Festival. 

Levine's friends back in the US like his stories. They feel that what they know about China is not enough and wish to get a different idea from his songs. 

"I will spend the rest of my life in China, continuing to teach, sing and write, " said Levine. 

Cui Chenxi finished the Women's Skateboarding Street Final(滑板女子街式决赛) in the fourth place at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics on July 28th. The sport was first played in Tokyo Summer Olympics. And it is China's best result of this sport. 

Cui comes from Jinan, Shandong Province. She has talent in sports. She once tried her hand at different sports: football, basketball and table tennis. But finally, it was skateboarding that won her heart. 

Cui only began skateboarding in 2020. Her father let her try skateboarding. Then she fell in love with it. Within a year, she began winning at professional level(专业级) events. In 2022, she won the third place in the women's street event at the Shandong provincial games. She was soon on the provincial skateboarding team. In 2023, she made history by becoming China's youngest-ever Asian Games medalist(奖牌获得者) after winning gold(金牌) in the street skateboarding event in Hangzhou. 

But it is not easy to win so many prizes in such a short time. Cui is always working hard and learning from other skateboarders. "When I started skateboarding, I thought it was great fun. Later, I found most of the time, getting hurt is just part of the game. But I should go on. That is the meaning of skateboarding, " she added. 

Jaxon Porter is the happiest when he is behind the wheel. He's too young to be a real driver, so he drives go-karts(卡丁车). "I just love going fast, " Jaxon says excitedly. "When I get into that car, Ijust go as fast as I can. "

Jaxon started racing at 5. "I'm still learning, " he says. But he grew up in a go-kart. He feels like a real driver. "I' ll be an Indy Car driver one day, " he says.
