My Traditional Cultural Experiences

On 19 May，our school organized many traditional cultural activities. I learned a lot. 

I'm Li Ming from China. I had  great time on my trip to the mountains. I went with two teachers and all my  (classmate). We missed our family at first，but the landscape was fantastic. It took our breath ， and we didn't want to go home！On my (two) day of the trip，we went on a really long walk in the mountains. We carried our things in bags on our backs. Later it began to rain. It was not easy to walk in the mountains，(especial) on a rainy day. It was hard work，but we never got (boring). Soon the rain stopped. We had a rock climbing lesson before our lunch and later that afternoon we had a rest at a lake. There we  (camp) for the night. I helped make the fire. The teachers and two of the elder students cooked dinner. After dinner，we (sit) around the fire and sang songs in the dark. The girls were excited. They decided to sleep outdoors  they wanted to look at the stars. Several boys made "tiger" noises trying to make  (they) afraid，but they just laughed. I'll never forget that day. 

Zhengding is in Shijiazhuang city，Hebei Province. I learned about Zhengding online and fell in love with its ancient town. I took a trip there with my friends last weekend. We started from Beijing and decided to go to Shijiazhuang first because it was time­saving. On our way to Beijing West Station，when the taxi driver knew we were going to Zhengding，he was excited. He said that the ancient buildings there were so beautiful that he wanted to see them again. 

After arriving at Shijiazhuang Station，we took a bus to the ancient town. With it，we could visit many  temples (寺庙) there. Each of them was special and we learned a lot. 

At night，when the lights were on，the ancient town became so different and beautiful. Not far from the town，there was a popular night market. We had a great time there too. 

A relaxing travel style called "Citywalk" is becoming popular in China. It's about travelling around a city on foot. Such walks usually keep away from famous places and shopping centres. 

Nancy and her husband Dave are in Shanghai now. They come from the USA. Nancy works in a school and Dave works in a hospital. They know about Citywalk on the Internet. Then they find a welcome Citywalk route in Shanghai. They not only enjoy the beautiful streets，but also visit some small shops. They love this trip a lot. 

Citywalk not only gives young people a way to learn about a city，but also gives them some places to relax. People who like the same things can easily make friends there. 

Some places，such as Beijing and cities in Shandong，make Citywalk part of their plans to help with their cultural tourism (文化旅游). Shanghai uses Citywalk ways as bus ways to help people get to more places. 

Many people say Citywalk is a good way to have a talk with the city they live in. Zhang Zhi，a man in Beijing，helps people with travel and says people now like personal travel services   better. He thinks Citywalk makes travellers better find the trips they want according to their interests and needs. 

What can you think about first when you talk about Chengdu？Before my trip to Chengdu，my answer was the panda. ____

Last year，I went to Chengdu to visit my friend Jane. On a Sunday morning，we went for a walk in the street. It was not difficult to find a teahouse here and there. We walked into Yuelai Teahouse. It is an old building with a history of more than 100 years. In Yuelai Teahouse，the waitresses were friendly and they made us feel easy. We not only had fresh tea at a low price，but also enjoyed fantastic Sichuan opera. 

Jane told me that teahouses in Chengdu were not only good places to drink tea but also good places for people to relax and meet friends or family. She was right. I saw people playing chess and card games. In a teahouse people can slow down their life. I think that's why the teahouses can win lots of people's hearts. 

Dad wanted to take us for a trip. We decided to fly to Greece (希腊). It was my first time travelling by 1 . It made my sister and me 2 . It took us about ten hours to get to Athens (雅典).3 we felt a little tired，after dinner my sister and I walked along the street and saw colourful lights. They were shining 4 . My parents didn't seem to be interested，so they came back to the hotel. It was a nice hotel. The beds were 5 and everything was clean. They did 6 but watch TV in the room. 

On the first day，we went to the Acropolis Hill. We started to 7 it at 9：30 a. m. At 10：30 a. m. ，we got to the top. The scenery from the Acropolis was beautiful. It took our 8 away. We took some photos. The second day was sunny and hot. We went to the beach. We9 the sunshine and swam in the sea. On the third day，we went to10 a museum.
