Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) services have become a big tool of cheating in university. Now, teachers are thinking of new ways to teach classes in order to stop students from cheating with AI.
Teachers say they want to use AI to teach and learn in new ways. However, they need to stop students from using the technology on homework and tests. For some students, that means a return to paper tests instead of online tests. Some teachers ask students to hand in the drafts (草稿) of their work to show their thought processes. Other teachers, though, think students have always found a way to cheat and AI is just the newest tool.
The recent growth in the number of AI services has worried most educators. They want students to give correct answers but also know how to do the work to get to those answers. "In some cases, cheating is clear to see," said Tim Brown, a writing teacher. He told a newspaper, "From students' answers, I saw sentences like ‘I am just an AI language model. I don't have an opinion on that.'" To avoid this situation, Tim and his fellow teachers are changing the rules for the writing course.
To prevent students from cheating with AI, the teachers have come up with some ways to solve it, including using paper tests instead of online tests, asking students to write more about their opinions, asking students to show the drafts of their work and developing strong rules against using AI.
(1)、Who use(s) AI as a big tool of cheating?(2)、Why do some teachers ask students to hand in the drafts of their work?(3)、How do most educators feel about the recent growth in the number of AI services?(4)、What's Tim's attitude (态度) to cheating with AI?(5)、How many ways to stop students from cheating with AI are mentioned in Para 4? -

January 20, 2025, a Chinese tech company named DeepSeek made a new AI called DeepSeek-R1. This smart program can solve math problems, write code (代码), and answer questions like top models such as OpenAI's GPT-4o, but it costs much less to build. The team spent only $5.58 million (1/70 of OpenAI's cost) and used 2,048 computer chips (芯片) for two months to make it. This shows that good ideas can beat big money.
DeepSeek-R1 learns by trying many times and getting better, like how students practice maths. Other AIs need lots of prepared examples, but R1 improves by itself. In a global math test, it got 79.8% right, a little higher than OpenAI's model. A simple version (版本) of R1 can even run on low-cost computers, helping schools and small companies.
DeepSeek-R1 is free to use and change. On its first day online, over 19,000 programmers worldwide started projects to study it. A German scientist said experiments with R1 cost $10 instead of $300 with other AIs. Even Meta (a famous U.S. tech company) top scientist said, "This kind of free AI could change the world."
U.S. tech companies are worried. Meta planed to spend $65 billion more on AI research. Experts said China was catching up fast. A report in Nature magazine called R1 a "big step forward", confirming that smart ideas beat expensive tools.
As a DeepSeek engineer said, "We want AI to be a friend, not something only rich people can use." With R1, China shows the world that great things come from new ideas and hard work, not just money.

12、 阅读下面短文,并从下列方框里的六个句子中选择五个还原到原文中,使原文意思完整、连贯。
Listening is one of the basic skills. Good communication always starts with good listening.
Ask Good Questions
When someone comes to you with a problem, it is natural for you to give them advice. However, instead of giving advice, asking good questions is more important. This can show that you are interested in what people are telling you.
Avoid too much Nodding
Nodding while listening to people shows that you are listening carefully. If you nod too much, it may make people feel uncomfortable as they may think you are just trying to agree with everything.
You also need to be patient while people are speaking. It is rude to speak while others are still talking. Even if you want the speaker to explain something for you, please wait until they finish their part.
Follow Up
To show your further concern about people, you can go beyond just listening to them. It is an act that shows your care and support.
A.However, you need to pay attention not to nod too much.
B.Take notes
C.Try to follow up by giving them a call or texting them.
D.It even helps deepen your understanding.
E.Here are a few tips to help you develop effective listening skills.

We can see circles, squares and triangles (三角形) everywhere in our daily life. Have you thought about their meanings in films? Much like colors, different shapes can show different features (特征) of characters in the scenes.
Circles represent (代表) things that are soft and natural. The round shape reminds us of things that appear in nature, like the sun, flowers, raindrops and so on. We can also connect circles with beautiful eyes, babies' round faces. All these things make us feel happy and warm. This is why so many cartoon characters' bodies — heroes, kids, good people — are round in shape, because circles represent goodness, happiness and friendliness.
Squares show things that are unnatural or man-made, or things that are boring or old-fashioned. In Up(《飞屋环游记》), Carl, an elderly man, has a square face and wears square glasses, while Russell, an 8-year-old boy with a round face, always wears round medals. These shapes show the characters' personalities. Carl is stubborn and lonely, while Russell is lovely and full of energy .
The angriest shape is the triangle. Every kid who draws a monster with sharp teeth draws a row of triangles, don't they? That's because the shape represents fear, distrust and doubt in some way. Look at the bad guys in cartoons — they are all drawn with plenty of points and triangles, like Shengongbao in Ne Zha. And triangles are stable and don't easily fall down. In films, this feature makes bad people difficult to deal with.
Not only in cartoons, but also in other kinds of films, different shapes are used for the same purpose. So, next time you see a film, try to find the hidden shapes and you will know what the characters are like.
(1)、How many shapes are mentioned in the text?A、Two. B、Three. C、Four. D、Five.(2)、How does the writer connect squares with personalities of cartoon characters?A、 B、By giving an example. C、
D、
(5)、What is the text mainly about?A、Why different shapes represent different things. B、What makes kids fascinated by heroes in films. C、What different shapes represent in different films. D、How cartoons make different colors and shapes. -

Do you know the pets' feelings? When is your dog happy? A new app called Happy Pets can tell you the answer.
The app can analyze the faces of cats and dogs. Then it can tell you what kind your pet is and how it is feeling. It can show you some feelings-happy, angry, sad and afraid.
Scientists in Australia make the app. The key of the app is facial recognition, a common use of AI. We can unlock our mobile phones with it. But this is the first time to use this tech with animals.
How does the app work? First, it analyzes a picture of an animal. Then, it analyzes the face of your pet. Is it a dog or a cat? Next comes the most important thing—finding out the feeling of the animal. For example, if a dog closes its eyes and mouth while moving its ears back, this means the dog is afraid. To get this skill, the app "see" and "read" a lot of example pictures before.
Can the app tell us the feelings of pets exactly? The scientists are sure about it. They find that cats are more difficult to read than dogs. In the future, maybe the app will analyze a pet's body language.
