The Amazon Rainforest is the largest rainforest in the world.It is home to millions of species of plants and animals. Many of these cannot be found anywhere else on Earth. The rainforest produces about 20% of the world's oxygen, which is why it is often called the "lungs of the Earth." The trees here are very tall, and the forest is always green because it rains almost every day. Animals like jaguars, monkeys, and colorful birds live here. There are also many insects and reptiles. The Amazon is very important for our planet, but it is in danger. Large areas are cut down every year for farming and logging. We must work together to protect this amazing place.
