On December 4, 2024, UNESCO (联合国教科文组织) added Chinese Spring Festival on the World Heritage List. Li Hua, a Chinese middle school student, shared the good news his foreign friend Bob and introduced the Spring Festival to him.

What is the Spring Festival like? It is one of (important) holidays in Chinese culture. It is a time when families gather together to welcome a new year, and it (become) a symbol of get-together for a long time. For Chinese people around the world, these cultural practices bring back many good (memory) of childhood. For other members of the global village, they offer them useful way to feel the charm of an ancient Eastern culture.

Making the Spring Festival an intangible cultural heritage of humanity (人类非物质文化遗产) is (culture) important in many ways. In addition to celebrating the rich traditional Chinese culture, it improves understanding among people of different backgrounds. Finally, focus on your own goals instead of comparing yourself to others. Emotionally tough people set clear goals, celebrate their achievements, and keep moving forward. They don't waste time worrying about what others think.

It's a skill that can be developed through practice and good habits. By following these steps, we can become stronger and better prepared to face life's challenges.

The government spent over 3 billion yuan on this clean energy project. Electric buses cost more to buy (about 300,000 yuan extra each), but they save money later because electricity is cheaper than diesel. Drivers say these buses are quieter and easier to drive. Many passengers also say the rides are smoother than before.

The city built 510 special stations with 8,000 places to charge (充电) the buses. About 100 of these stations use sun power to make the electricity, making them even cleaner. The buses can go 250km after charging for just 2 hours-enough for a whole day's work. At night, workers charge all the buses so they're ready for the next day.

"The air is much better now," says Li Wei, a student who takes Bus 234 every day. "I don't smell the bad bus smoke anymore." Many people like taking photos of the new buses because they look modern and clean. Some tourists even ride them just to see how they work.

Now, other big cities like Beijing and Shanghai are also starting to use electric buses. The United Nations says Shenzhen's buses are "a good example for all cities" to help protect our environment. Many countries are learning from Shenzhen's success.

In April, 2025, their smart farming system found that 70% of the lychee flowers had fallen in one orchard. It then made a "prescription" (处方) map to guide farmers where to use fertilizer (肥料) and control harmful insects. In the past, farmers mainly depended on their own experience.

This work is part of a bigger "AI + agriculture" project. Drones, satellites, and ground sensors (传感器) are used to watch 6,800 mu of lychee trees. Yushu Technology helps by dealing with large amounts of data and using AI models to study tree health and predict harvests. The system can find problems like harmful insects with a 95% correct rate. A simple mobile app allows farmers to call for drones, upload photos, and get expert advice. Even farmers with little tech knowledge can easily use it, helping them make better farming decisions.

The AI system brings real benefits. It helps farmers react quickly, saving trees and reducing labor. Fruit quality has improved because of better harmful insects control and care. Each tree now has a QR code (二维码) showing its growing conditions, making lychees easier to sell at higher prices. Some farmers even sell their fruits before harvest by showing buyers the data.

This smart farming model is not only improving incomes but also bringing young people back to farming. Local leaders hope to spread the "Gaozhou experience" to other places, helping more farmers and villages achieve better growth and life.

The name "Kunpeng" comes from two creatures in ancient Chinese myths—Kun, a giant fish, and Peng, a huge bird. Together, they stand for the spirit of exploration and adventure.

Starting from Bao'an and ending in Dapeng, the Kunpeng Trail is Shenzhen's longest hiking trail. The trail has 20 parts and connects 10 big mountains, around 20 parks, many lakes, cultural sites, over 30 city areas, and 9 key development zones. Along the way, hikers can enjoy forests, rivers, and beautiful coastlines. The trail offers a special way to enjoy Shenzhen's different landscapes which also serve as a home for nearly 10,000 kinds of plants and wild animals.

According to the Shenzhen Municipal Urban Management Bureau, the trail is designed for people with different levels of outdoor experience. Each part has entry and exit points, allowing hikers to choose how far they want to go. The western area of the trail has easy paths, perfect for families with young children. The central area, attracting experienced hikers, is more difficult, while the eastern area is the most challenging, with high mountains and rough paths. The trail has clear signs every 500 metres, marked from YK000 to YK415, where "Y" means hiking and "K" stands for Kunpeng.

Whether you are an experienced hiker or a first-time visitor, there is something exciting waiting for you along different parts of the trail.

When Sun joined the national team's reserve squad ( 预备队) , she was excited and encouraged. Her favourite star was Zhang Yining, and she always3 becoming a world top player. However, she faced difficulties along the way. At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, she suffered4 losses because she didn't win the gold medal in the women's singles. "I wasn't well-rounded enough," she said. "But I learned a lot from those losses." Since then, she has experienced more5 , but she never gives up.

Darren's China trip begins in Shanghai. Here, he streams live (直播) for more than 6 hours. He is really surprised at the tall buildings and busy streets in the city. In his next stop to Beijing, Darren also feels very excited. He visits places of interest like the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, showing China's rich culture.

As for Darren's videos about China trip, they mean a lot to many foreign people. For example, one of the Americans says, "I didn't know China is so strong before I watched Darren's videos. They looked so exciting. From the Internet stars' shows about China, we know China is always much better than we think."

Now many foreign people know more about China through the videos. They're looking forward to travelling around China one day. Then they can see a great country growing stronger.

"Patty," her father says.

"Where are my hamburgers?" Patty asks. "How about some fried chicken, then?"

"Patty!" Dad calls her name again. He thinks the lunch is nice.

Patty puts some cabbage into her mouth and quickly spits (吐) it back into the bowl.
