Months ago, Kevin did his first good thing in the plan. He cleaned up an open space in the city. 

"It had a lot of tall grass. Cars ran on it over and over again, " said Kevin. "Then I cut the grass down. " He also handed out free food to people along the way. 

One day, Kevin visited sick kids in Children's Hospital. He ended the day by helping an old man in the rain. He drove the man home. 

Kevin said, "The whole idea is to do 143 good things. But it is really spreading (传播) love and kindness around. " He added, "I want to encourage more people to join me. I hope that there will be a ripple effect. " Let's start some ripples (涟漪) and see how far they can go!

Xu Ruiyang, a girl from Kunming, can only use her head and hands to move. She can't walk with her feet. At the age of 2, the doctor said that she could only live for a few years.

①One morning when Li Tao woke up, he jumped out of his bed happily. He had a great idea. He would build a tree house! Li Tao asked his dad, "Is it OK if I build a tree house in the old tree outside the house?"

④Some birds were singing around them, but they had no time to enjoy the songs of the birds. Building a tree house was much work and lots of things were waiting for Li Tao and his dad. At noon, they just had a quick lunch and went on with their work. They even put a roof over the tree house so that it could keep dry in the rain. At last, they finished the work just before dark. 

⑤Early that night, Li Tao asked his brother to lend him a sleeping bag because he wanted to spend the night in the new tree house. 

⑥"Sure, " said his brother. "Can I go with you?"

⑦"Of course, you can, " Li Tao smiled. Then they both ran upstairs to get ready. 

Last summer holiday, I helped with a charity show to raise money for children in poor areas.
