Everyone wants to be happy, and it's not difficult at all. In fact, happiness is always around us.

A Wonderful Trip to Guilin

Last summer holiday, I went to Guilin with my parents. It is in the south of China. And it is famous for its beautiful mountains and rivers. We stayed there for three days. We had a great time.

On the first day, we visited the Li River. The water was so clear that we could see small fish swimming in it. We took a boat trip along the river. The wind was cool on our faces. The mountains along the river are very special. They look like elephants, horses, or even pencils standing up from the ground. Our guide told us many interesting stories about these mountains.

We also went to Yangshuo. The streets there were busy but clean. We ate delicious rice noodles and bought some nice postcards for my friends. The most exciting part was riding bicycles in the countryside. We saw farmers working in the green fields. It was very peaceful.

I took many photos during the trip. If you love nature, Guilin is a perfect place for you. I hope I can go back again one day.

B: I went to Shexian, Anhui. My mom went there with me. My dad was busy, so he didn't go with us.

The smell of my mom's cooking is very comforting (抚慰人心的). The warm air in the kitchen makes me feel happy and excited because I know something delicious is on the way.

I remember the first time I loved my mom's cooking. As a kid, I was a picky eater and didn't like trying new foods. But one day, after a long day at school, I got home. My mom was making a new dish. She chopped (切) vegetables and put different spices (调味料) in little bowls. The smell was amazing. I wasn't sure about the taste, but I tried it. The flavors (味道) danced together perfectly, and I loved it.

Over the years, I have watched her cook many times. She always pays attention to (关注) the little details (细节). She makes each meal with care and patience. I notice how she tastes the sauce (酱汁) before she uses it, or adds just a tiny bit of salt if needed. She also arranges (摆放) the food nicely on the plate. She enjoys making it look as good as it tastes. I love the taste, but I also love the memories each dish brings. My favorite memory is helping my mom in the kitchen during the holidays. I would stir sauces or peel vegetables. These moments taught me more than cooking. They taught me patience and the joy of making something with love.
