2、 阅读全文,并从下列方框里的六个句子中选择五个还原到原文中,使原文的意思完整连贯,并在答题卷上将相应的字母编号涂黑。
A. Teens with old models may feel bad.
B. Parents care a lot about their children's life.
C. In this way, they will not feel lonely at school.
D. Having a smartwatch helps teens join others easily.
E. Smartwatches do bring a lot of advantages to students' life.
K. Students without a watch or with a different type may feel left out (被排挤).
Nowadays, smartwatches are becoming more and more popular among teenagers. They are regarded as useful tools in daily life, but they also lead to heated discussions. People are thinking deeply about whether smartwatches truly help students or bring them more troubles.
For many families, the most important advantage is safety. Teenagers can call their parents quickly when in need. Besides, parents can know where their children are at any time. Therefore, children always feel calm and safe in daily life.
Another advantage is that smart watches help teens get on well with others. For example, the tap-to-add-friends function helps them make new friends quickly. They can make calls and send messages to communicate with classmates conveniently and share interesting moments in their daily lives.
Some people are worried that smartwatches make students compare too much. New models are usually expensive, so they may become a sign of money. Parents often feel stressed to buy new ones for their children.
Some social functions (功能) on smartwatches can also bring unnecessary pressure. Likes and friend numbers may look interesting at first, but they can make teenagers care too much about others' opinions. Different types of smartwatches cannot always work with each other.
In the end, the most important question is not whether teenagers should use smartwatches, but how to use modern technology properly and keep a good balance in life.

Oliver Twist was a poor young boy with no parents. Since early childhood, he had known nothing but cold, hunger, and unkindness. With no one to love him and no home to go, he ran away to London, a large, strange, and cold city, where he was left helpless and alone.
Soon he met a man named Fagin, who seemed kind and friendly. Fagin gave Oliver food and a place to stay, trying to make Oliver trust him. In fact, Fagin wanted Oliver to join his group and learn to steal. Oliver had no idea about their secret.
One day, two of Fagin's boys took Oliver out. When no one was paying attention, they stole a handkerchief (手帕) from an old gentleman called Mr Brownlow. Seeing Oliver nearby, the old man thought he was the thief.
"Stop the boy!" Mr Brownlow shouted.
People ran after Oliver at once. Too frightened and weak to run, he fell to the ground. When Mr Brownlow came closer, he was surprised to find that the child looked helpless.
"Did you steal my handkerchief?" Mr Brownlow asked softly.
"I... I did not do it," Oliver answered in a low voice, too weak to say anything else.
Mr Brownlow looked deeply into the boy's eyes and saw his honesty. He realized immediately that Oliver was telling the truth, and his heart was filled with pity.
"Don't be afraid. I will take you home," he said gently.

As we all know, horse riders are often told to stay calm and confident without showing any fear around their horses. Have you ever wondered why?
People have long believed the reason is that horses can sense fear in humans. To find out the truth a team of researchers carried out a study and found that horses could notice humans' feelings through their body smells.
In the study, 30 people were asked to watch a happy film and then a scary film while their sweat (汗液) was collected separately. Researchers then divided 43 horses into three groups. The horses wore muzzles (嘴套) over their noses and mouths. One group was given muzzles with sweat from happy people, another group received muzzles with sweat from scared people, and the third group got clean ones with no sweat.
After getting everything ready, the team tested the horses in some unexpected situations. For example, they opened an umbrella in front of the horses. The horses that wore the "fear" muzzles acted more scared. Their hearts beat faster, and they were frightened more easily. "The fearful smells from humans amplify the reactions (反应) of horses." one researcher explained.
The researchers believe that understanding horses' feelings helps people get along with them better and improves horses' health and happiness. Stressed or scared horses often react with behaviors that can be dangerous, such as kicking or running away, so knowing the importance of remaining calm around horses can also keep people safer around these animals
(1)、Why does the writer write the first paragraph?A、To tell a story. B、To lead in the topic. C、To give some advice. D、To show some feelings.(2)、What is the main purpose of the researchers' study?A、To explain why horses get scared easily. B、To study different kinds of human sweat. C、To teach people how to ride horses safely. D、To see if horses can smell how people feel.(3)、Put the steps of the study in the correct order.① collect sweat from people
② let people watch different movies
③ divide horses into three groups
④ put special muzzles on the horses
⑤ test horses in unexpected situations
A、②→①→③→④→⑤ B、①→②→④→③→⑤ C、②→①→④→③→⑤ D、①→③→②→④→⑤(4)、What does the underlined word "amplify" in Paragraph4?A、Make something weaker. B、Make something smaller. C、Make something clearer. D、Make something stronger.(5)、How does the result of the study help people?A、It helps people know how to ride horses. B、It helps people avoid dangerous animals easily. C、It helps people know why horses sense human fear. D、It helps people get along with horses better and stay safe. -

Eileen Gu continues to inspire young people around the world with her outstanding achievements and remarkable spirit.
After the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, she made a rather surprising choice. Instead of becoming a full-time skier she took up a place at Stanford University and carried on training as a skier.
