Liu Wei is very famous in China because he can play the piano with his toes (脚趾). 

One day when Liu Wei was 10 years old, he played a game with some friends. He lost both his arms because of electricity (电). Liu Wei was very sad when both his arms were cut off after the accident. But soon he had to make a choice. 

"For people like me, there were only two choices. One was to give up all the dreams, which would cause a quick death. The other was to work hard without arms to live an excellent life, " says Liu Wei. Liu's dream was to be a pianist. His excellent life included a show on China's Got Talent and a wonderful performance playing the beautiful Marriage D' amour with his two feet on the piano. 

Liu Wei learned to play the piano with his feet. And teaching himself to play the piano with his feet was very hard. Many times he wanted to give it up, but his parents went on encouraging him and he wanted to make his parents proud. 

Maybe you cannot believe that Liu Wei is able to play well only with his toes.  The audience were deeply moved and very excited when they watched his performance. 

Maria, a 16-year-old girl from Mexico, never imagined she would fall in love with Chinese music. It all began when her music teacher played a piece performed on the guzheng.  "The sound was like flowing water — so peaceful yet so  , " she said.

Now Maria often performs at cultural events. Her performances are  by people all over the world.  "Music  a bridge between our cultures, " she said with a smile.  "The guzheng doesn't just make beautiful music — it tells the story of China, and now, it's part of my story too. "

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.  Hobbies play an important role  our lives.  is impossible to develop a hobby without any effort. We can join  club, play sports, do DIY and so on. Many people have the same interests as us,   we can share happiness and enjoy ourselves together.

Nowadays, a new hot fashion has appeared online. Many ancient poets like Li Bai and Su Shi are regarded as singers and have plenty of fans on different music platforms. Many young netizens (网民) wonder whether these masters know their literary works have become popular songs. 

In fact, these ancient poets are listed as songwriters because their classic poems are widely used as lyries in modern songs. Many modern musicians add soft music to these beautiful poems and sing them in different styles. Such songs are enjoyed by teenagers. 

This way makes it easier for students to learn poems. Some students say they fall in love with ancient poems naturally while listening to these songs. They used to feel bored when memorizing poems for exams. But now nice music helps them remember poem lines easily. 

Yet, some teachers hold a mixed view towards this way.  "It' s true that these poetic songs can help students learn more easily, but they shouldn't just enjoy soft music and funny online comments, " said Mr. Li, a Chinese teacher. Students still need to explain the poems and think deeply.  This can help them truly understand the wisdom of ancient masters well. 

"Do not just follow the online fashion blindly.  Only by wise thinking can you feel the real beauty of classic poems, " advised Mr. Li warmly. 

①In recent years, we have learned a lot about Yingge dance from social media. Its exciting performance at the2025 Spring Festival Gala also impressed many people. 

②This winter vacation, I went back to my hometown Shantou. Luckily, I had the chance to watch Yingge dance firsthand. I stood on the street with many locals and visitors, waiting for the performers to arrive.  Soon, hearing the sound of gongs(锣) and sticks, I saw a red flag with the words"Shengqian Yingge Team" leading the way, followed by a big group of energetic dancers. 

③The performers wore bright, colorful clothes and carried wooden sticks. They moved their sticks skillfully. Sometimes, they shouted, making the performance even more exciting. The mix of music, movement and sound brought joy to everyone. 

④The biggest surprise was seeing my uncle dance! After the show, he told me, "I'm proud to be part of Yingge dance. It helps spread our culture and makes Chinese people more confident in their traditions.  We also made the dance faster and clothes more colorful to interest young people. " His words made me realize they weren't just keeping the tradition, but also changing it for today. That's why Shantou now has over 50 Yingge teams, many with teenage members. 

⑤By mixing old and new ideas, Yingge dance helps people love their culture and feel connected. Traditions can stay alive if we pass them on in creative ways. 

If someone asks me, "Do you like music?" I'm sure I will answer him or her"Of course,  I do. " Because Ithink music is an important part of our lives. 

Different people have different ideas about music.  For me, I like rock music because it's so exciting.  And my favourite rock band, the"Foxy Ladies" is one of the most famous rock bands in the world.  I also like pop music. My classmate Li Lan loves dance music, because she enjoys dancing.  My best friend, Jane, likes jazz music.  She thinks jazz is really cool. 

"I like dance music and rock music very much. " says my brother. "Because they are amazing. "

But my mother thinks rock music is boring.  "I like some relaxing music. " she says.  That's why she likes country music, I think. 

Every day after school,  eleven-year-old Maya walked past a music shop.  In the window stood an old brown 1 .  She would stop and stare at it, imagining her fingers 2 on the keys (键盘).
