My Experience of Collecting Insects

Watching insects is interesting and they are very beautiful.

In many different places, such as the yard around my house or the park near my school.

▲How I do it

When I see a new insect, I put it in a glass bottle and then look at it very carefully. If it's small, I will use a magnifying glass (放大镜). Then I try to find out what kind of insect it is. I have a lot of books about insects to help me.

After that, I use my pencil to draw a picture of it in my notebook. I also write down its name, the date and where I find it.

Finally, I take it back to the same place and let it go. I want it to be free.

I want to be an entomologist in the future. That's a person who studies insects. I think my dream will come true one day.

Natural disasters can hit anywhere, anytime, and being prepared is the key to staying safe. Earthquakes,typhoons, and floods are common natural disasters that can cause terrible damage and bring serious threats (威胁)to safety.

Earthquakes suddenly shake the ground, often without warning. To stay safe during an earthquake, people had better"Drop, Cover, and Hold On" until the shaking stops. You can find a strong table to hide under and hold on.

Typhoons, known as hurricanes or cyclones in other parts of the world, can lead to strong winds and too much rain. Before a typhoon arrives, storing necessary things like food, water, and batteries is important.

  ▲   can happen when rivers overflow because of too much rain. To prepare well, avoid building homes in the areas where floods often happen and place important electrical appliances (电器) up off the ground in your home.

Having an emergency (紧急) plan is also a must. By understanding these disasters and taking action, people can reduce the risk of harm and recover(恢复) more quickly after disasters happen.

Jane enjoyed playing online games on weekends. The games were so that she always forgot the time. She had great fun through the games.

Her mother said,"It can be bad for health if you spend too much time on the screen."Jane to do something. She hardly played online from then on.

Now Jane loves doing outdoor activities. It helps her keep and happy. One of her favorite things going on a painting picnic. She takes her pencils and paper and spends some time drawing outside. Jane loves to  trees, flowers and all kinds of birds. She also takes a picnic lunch. If she's hungry, she can eat it.

Jane has other ideas. She sets a timer(定时器) when she goes online, so she won't the time. When she finishes using the computer, she stays outside for half an hour. She often rides her bicycle with her father after dinner. She also enjoys playing sports with some of her after school, such as ping-pong and tennis.

Jane is much healthier and now. She often says to others, "Keep away from online games and start exercising before it's too late."
