As the saying goes, " Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime. "This is the way the charity organization Heifer International wants to end world hunger. 

It began in the 1930s when an American farmer, Dan West, went to Spain to help people in need. He tried to feed the people with milk. But it seemed that there would never be enough milk. It made him think that what they needed was" not a cup, but a cow". 

Dan West returned to America. He worked together with some friends to find ways to end hunger. He believed giving animals and providing training would stop world hunger. With his help, Heifer International was set up. 

On Heifer International's website, you will see a list of animals like cows, chickens, pigs and even fish and bees. You can offer help by buying some animals for one certain family. Those animals will have babies. With more and more animals, these families will be able to support themselves. Once these families get better lives, they will pass on the act of kindness to others. More importantly, you are buying the resources（资源）for programs run by Heifer International to help more families. 

The programs also help small-sized farms. As a rule, each farmer must give his animal's first female baby to another in need. Heifer International also provides training on animals' health and feeding. And these farmers all agree to teach others what they have learned as another rule. 

However, there is still a long way to go. The milk may run out. But if families have their own cows, they can get plenty of milk to feed themselves. The organization wants the farmers to go on working together, helping and learning from each other. Maybe hunger can really be stopped. 

In March 2019, at the age of 21, Margo Hayes became the first woman to finish three of the world's hardest climbs when she successfully reached the top of Papichulo in Spain. She had already climbed La Rambla, Spain and Biografie, France in 2017. She was only 19 when she became the first woman to climb La Rambla, which is one of the hardest rock faces in the world to climb. It seems this young woman from Boulder, Colorado was certain to become a record - breaking climber. 

She comes from a family of climbers, so that helps! Her grandfather was the expedition （探险队） leader on a new way to the top of Mount Everest in 1983 and her father has climbed many of the rock walls of Yosemite Valley, California. But that's not enough. Talent and training play an important part. Margo was a talented gymnast（体操运动员）and at the age of six, she was training for an Olympic gold medal. Unluckily, she had to give up gymnastics because of a serious accident, but by the age of ten, she had joined Team ABC, a well - known training group for young cumbers in Texas. 

You won't be surprised to hear that Margo is very serious about her sport. She always has new goals she wants to achieve. She organizes her training and climbs with the greatest precision. She believes a full planning before a climb is necessary for success. You can't risk making mistakes when you' re high up on a rock face. Before she starts a climb, she chooses the best way and plans every move she' ll make on the rock face. She says it's an amazing feeling to finish a climb that you have been imagining in your head for so long. She enjoys her climbs and loves the feel of the rock as well as the views of fantastic scenery. Reaching the top is an exciting experience. 

Welton Menezes is a Brazilian badminton player. During the Chengdu FISU World University Games, he learned" Tan", one of the Chinese words. Tan is the family name of Tan Qiang, a Chinese badminton player. 

" Could I know more about Tan?" Menezes asked reporters after a match. It was not only Tan's badminton skills, but also Tan's kindness that touched him. 

A few months ago, Tan beat Menezes in a match. Tan saw Menezes wearing a pair of very old shoes. " His shoes were so old, but he still came all the way from Brazil to play badminton here . I admired（钦佩）his love for the sport, " Tan said.

Australia learned many things from England. Their school uniforms look like the English ones very much, but they are more open and light（轻的）. Students also wear hats in the very hot weather. 

In Singapore

In Singapore, almost all the students need to wear uniforms. The colous are different from school to school. I he uniforms for boys are shorts or long trousers, with white shirts, while girls-wear white blouses and blue or black skirts.
