For the past 20 years，Reckoning Theater（心目影院） in Beijing has been describing movies—telling about the pictures—to its listeners.

That's because its listeners are all blind people.Xiao Huanyi is one of the theater's regular visitors.The 65-year-old man was born blind."I wasn't interested in movies at first，"he said."I used to listen to stories on the radio.Reckoning Theater is different.It describes the pictures.That is important."

Places that meet blind people's needs are hard to find.By 2021，over 17 million people in China were blind or nearly blind.Reckoning Theater was started by Wang Weili in 2005.His idea came in 2000，when he described every picture of The Terminator to a blind friend，who enjoyed it a lot.Wang then used his own money to start the theater.

"They have the right to know everything that we know，"Wang said."The government has provided special schools and sidewalks to meet their basic living needs.But life isn't made up only of these basic needs."

According to Wang，it is not easy to describe a movie.Preparations for a two-and-a-half-hour film could take as long as two weeks.He must watch the movie many times to get familiar with the story and its characters.In his description，Wang pays attention to what appears on the screen，instead of what happens.

From time to time, you may find it hard to manage bad feelings. You may feel disappointed, sad,hurt or even helpless. Dealing with such feelings doesn't come easy. Here is some advice to help you.Know your feelings. It can be hard sometimes to find the right words to express what you're feeling. A tool, the Feelings Wheel (情绪轮盘), can help you find the right words to express your feelings easily. Start from the center of the wheel and move out. Find your main feeling in the middle of the wheel, and then see what other feelings you have as you look outwards from the center. This can help you get clear about what you're feeling.

Accept what you feel. It is okay to feel lonely; it is okay to feel nervous; and it is okay to feel as if the world is going to end. It is quite natural to have these feelings when people are facing stress. There's nothing wrong with you feeling this way. Many of us do too, at different times in our lives.

Make a list. Sometimes you may feel so bad when you have too many things to do. Perhaps there is too much to study, or you may have a long to-do list when preparing for a birthday party. Write down the things that need to be done. Then, list the tasks in the order of importance and urgency(紧迫性) . You will feel calmer when you finish the list -you will have control over both the tasks and yourself!Learning to manage bad feelings needs time and practice. Be in touch with yourself. Learn what works best for you!

When you make a mistake or say something wrong, it's easy to be hard on yourself. Then stress is caused. Feelings of anger, disappointment and sadness come along. That's why such stress needs to be dealt with.

Max, a 14-year-old boy, used to be very competitive and always felt stressed. Now he is learning to give himself care and kindness. When he doesn't win or get the top marks, he talks to himself, "It's OK not to be perfect." He knows he always does his best and that is enough.

What Max does is called self-compassion (自我和解). With self-compassion, you treat yourself kindly like a friend. It allows you to forgive (原谅) yourself when you mess up or fail. After the sense of guilt (愧疚) goes away, you will feel more relaxed and be able to think more clearly. In this way, self-compassion makes you move forward. Many studies have shown it is of great help.

However, some people disagree. They argue that self-compassion leads people to be less active. But Breines and Chen's study had a different result. They gave students a difficult word test. The students were given the chance to study for a second test. They found those who were compassionate toward their failure spent more time preparing. 

Experts suggest that you should write a letter to yourself, describing the situation that causes your pain and accepting how you feel. Or you can do something you like to make yourself feel at peace. Suzy, a psychologist (心理学家), suggests using a "gentle touch" like placing both hands on your heart, so you will feel safe and loved.

The Baishi Mountain Geological National Park is in Baoding, North China's Hebei Province. The mountain gets its name from its plentiful white marbles, a kind of stone that is white and hard. The park is about 200 kilometers southwest of Beijing. As a national 5A-level scenic area (景区), the mountain is famous for its sea of clouds on cloudy days, turning the area into a wonderland.

The scenic area has also become well-known for its glass skywalks (玻璃栈道). A glass skywalk was built there in September 2014. It used to be the longest, widest and highest glass skywalk nationwide, standing at an altitude (海拔) of 1,900 meters. In August 2015, the scenic area built another glass skywalk, standing at an altitude of 1,600 meters, which was also the first two-double glass bridge in China.

The scenic area manages to combine nature with culture, and tries to build and keep the reputation (声望) as a "love mountain". Tourists can see a lot of words and sentences, which have something to do with love — such as "though I am a person afraid of heights, I am willing to experience the heartbeat on the glass skywalk with you". Some scenic spots, like the lover's bridge, are also designed to meet the theme of love.

A daughter talked to her father about how she wanted to give up because everything seemed so hard. She was quite tired, and it felt like as soon as one problem was solved, another one came up.

Her father, who is a cook, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and put them on the stove to boil. Once the water was boiling, he put carrots in one pot, eggs in another, and coffee beans in the last one. He let them boil without saying anything.

The daughter waited and wondered what her father was going to do. After about twenty minutes, he turned off the stove. He took out the carrots and put them in a bowl, the eggs in another bowl, and poured the coffee into a cup. Then he asked her, "What do you see?" "Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she answered. He asked her to touch the carrots, and she noticed they were soft. Next, he asked her to break an egg and see that it was hard-boiled inside. Finally, he let her taste the coffee, and she smiled at its delicious flavor (味道).

"What does this mean, Dad?" she asked politely. He explained that all three things had been boiled in water, but they reacted (反应) differently. The carrot was once strong and hard, but after boiling, it became soft and weak. The egg was fragile (易碎的), but after boiling, its inside became hard. The coffee beans, however, melted and changed the taste of the water they were boiled in. "Which one are you like?" he asked his daughter. "I hope you will be the coffee beans. When life is hard, don't give up and try to make it better."

In China, it's a lucky number. It has the same pronunciation as "Jiu (久)", meaning everlasting (永恒的). In Norway, it's a lucky number, too. There are many stories about it. But people in Japan don't like it. Why? Because when they say it in Japanese, it's just like another word "Ku (苦)".

How about the number 13? It's an unlucky number in many countries, like Norway, Sweden and the UK. Lots of bad things happened on the 13th in history. However, in Italy, 13 is a lucky number. People think 13 can help them live a happy life.

When I was at school, I didn 't think I was good at anything. The other  (child) things quickly, but I didn't.  only thing that interested me was cars.I spent lots of time (look) at how my grandpa's old car worked. But my mom wasn't interested  cars at all. She was tired of me focusing on  (they) all the time.
