Yan Xiaoyang, 68, is from Yinchuan in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. After more than ten years of hard work, he has become a top violin maker. At a （最近的） international event with 450 participants参加者 from over 40 countries, held in Indiana, US, he won the Viola Artisanship Award. This brought great honor to Ningxia on the global stage.

Yan's love for violins started when he was 14.His father bought a violin, which （吸引）the interest of  Yan and his four brothers. However, Yan （很少）had a chance to play it, so he wanted to make his（自己的）. At age 17，he used woodworking skills to build his first violin.Although it didn't sound great, it （标志）the start of his dream.

In 2014, Yan began （专业的）study with help from Chang Zhongqiu, a well-known international violin maker. Later，he also studied under master Zheng Quan, who taught him to focus on details细节and （音乐的）quality.

Yan began entering international （比赛）in 2019.He said violin making involves over 100 steps and that each （影响）the final sound.To ensure high quality, he designed both the top and back plates板 with 68 points for careful thickness measurement（测量）.He believes great makers must follow strict standards and adjust调整 many times to 

（创造）the perfect sound.

"Ne Zha 2" a Chinese film, became China's highest-grossing （票房最高的) film in just over eight days after it hit the screen during the Chinese New Year. The film has also broken many other records. It became  film to cross 1 billion dollars in a single market .

Jiaozi who directed "Ne Zha 2" believes that the success of Chinese cinema  the beauty of the works themselves. "It's about whether a story and  characters can move people worldwide , "he said. Jiaozi also shared some  experiences in creating the "Ne Zha" films, explaining how the "Ne Zha" series has grown from his own interest into a big success.

The Nepal Tea-Tasting Festival was held  January 17, 2025 in Beijing.Many officials attended the event.During the event,guests  (treat) to kinds of Nepalese teas, such as black, white, green and milk tea, learning about the country's tea tradition and tea-making skills. They also tried (they) hand at Chinese calligraphy（书法）,paper-cutting and tea ceremony.The organizers also announced several coming  (project) at the event.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal says tea first appeared in China and has played an important role in (culture) exchange. He says China and Nepal  (build) up a friendship for 70 years.They support each other's development paths. They have set an example of living together in peace,  the two countries have different social systems. He also expresses the hope of improving China-Nepal relations in the new age to bring benefits to people in both countries.

Something that I learned from both my parents was the importance of having respect（尊重） for other people. I remember one day when we were traveling on a bus and 1 sat down while other people were standing. My mother shouted at me, "2 immediately! You are young and you don't need to sit down all the time."At the time I felt embarrassed about being told of 3 ,but now I understand. I think children nowadays have 4 that respect and it really makes me angry if I see children sitting down while 5 people are standing.

Self-driving cars are safer than regular cars. They can remove the stress of driving and allow disabled or blind people to get around more easily.

 In one test, researchers pointed a laser pointer（激光棒） at the car while it was moving. The car mistakenly thought that the laser beam was in its way and slowed down or changed the direction.

The software that is used to direct the cars may not be safe enough.At times, it may break down. When we use our computers or smartphones, they sometimes break down without any reason. But if this happened to a self-driving car, the results could be deadly.

①High-tech robots and AI are making traveling safer and more fun. During China's May Day holiday, tourists enjoyed special experiences, such as robot-led hikes and AI-guided tours.

②In Gaolan, Gansu Province, robots from Unitree Robotics showed off their skills by leading tourists around.These robots could avoid things on their way and climb hills easily. In a museum there, robots also tried old farming tools, showing how ancient skills meet modern technology.

③Visitors were surprised by these robots. One tourist, Mr. Zhang, said he was surprised to see how smart the robots were.He even shook hands with one and felt like he was talking to a real person.

④AI is also helping in other ways.For example special robots, which can reduce tiredness during hiking, were very popular at Mount Tai in Shandong Province.These wearable devices（可穿戴设备) can lift up to 200 kilograms and last for eight hours.They made hiking easier and cut the time in half.They were rented out every day during the holiday.
