Hi, everyone! I would like to say something about the talent shows that are popular on TV these days.

Nowadays, there are more and more TV talent shows. They are very popular all over China.

These talent shows give everyone a chance to show of their talents. For some lucky people, these talent shows may make them famous, and can even make them rich. However, there are also many bad sides. First, some young people just imitate (模仿) their favorite stars. They may forget about their own styles. Second, young people spend too much time on such TV shows. They always dream of being a star. So they spend less time on their studies.

I think these shows are social activities. Young people can take part in these activities to get social experience. But they should know that the chance of becoming famous is very small for most people. They should know that they should work hard at something more important, their schoolwork. In short, you can do what you like, but you should know what is important and what is not.

A bird went to look for happiness. On the way, she saw a flower. The flower was short of water, but his face was  of smiles. The bird asked the little flower, "You're going to lose your life. Why are you still so happy?"

"Because my dream will come ," said the little flower. 

"What is it?" the bird asked. 

"To get sweet fruit."

Then the bird got to know happiness is a hope in the heart.

"As long as I keep on , I will climb over the wall one day," said the spider. 

The bird understood happiness is a faith (信念) in the heart. 

So the bird didn't look for happiness any more, because she finally  that the true happiness is in  own heart.

When talking about the Chinese food going abroad, you can't forget River Snail Rice Noodlesor Luosifen. It is one of the most popular snacks in Liuzhou City, Guangxi province. The dish is famous for its strong smell. Do you know how to make Luosifen?

The first step is to prepare some rice noodles, river snails and different kinds of ingredients. To make it, firstly, people should soak (浸泡) the rice noodles in water until they are soft. After that wash the river snails and make soup. When the rice noodles and the soup are ready, then boil rice noodles with sour bamboo shoots (酸竹笋), dried tofu skin, fresh vegetables and peanuts in river snail soup. The taste mostly comes from the sour bamboo shoots. This ingredient gives Luosifen its unique taste. "Without the sour bamboo shoots, Luosifen will lose its soul (灵魂)," some people say.

In the 1970s, Luosifen was just a cheap street snack in Liuzhou. People outside of the city knew little about it. It became an intangible cultural heritage (非物质文化遗产) of Guangxi in 2008. Four years later, a popular Chinese food show, A Bite of China, made Luosifen known to the public and then it became a household name. From then on, Luosifen has become popular across China.

Now more and more Luosifen restaurants are opened not only in the big cities in China, but also in many foreign countries like the US, Australia, Germany and so on. People can also buy instant (速食的) Luosifen online on apps such as Taobao and TikTok. You can enjoy Luosifen wherever you like.

I often spend my summer holidays just with my parents. It is quite boring. But last summer holiday was 1 . Some of my friends came to stay with me for a week at a summer house. It was in a small beach town called Portsea. There were many 2 things around the town. We lived there happily.

My best friend Jenny is  British exchange (交换生) student from London. She came to Beijing last year. She  a lot since she came here. Now let me give you a general introduction of her changes. 

Jenny used to be a shy girl. Her face would turn red when she  a speech in public. She used to keep  in class. She was afraid to put up her hand  she knew the answer to a question. She wasn't interested in some of her , and at times, she was absent  classes. And at school, she had few friends. 

I asked her why she wanted to be an exchange student. She told me that she wanted  herself and she was interested in Chinese language and culture. She hoped to become a popular girl. This was  what her parents wanted to see. 

Now Jenny gets on well with her new teachers and classmates. She has dealt with  shyness and quietness. She has become an outgoing, humorous and helpful girl. Her parents are so happy to hear how much she has changed.

"Well, I'll eat the cake," Alice said. If I get taller, I can reach the key on the table. And if I get smaller, I can go under the door into the garden." Then she finished the cake very soon.

"I shall be as tall as a house in a minute," she said. She tried to look down at her feet. And could only just see them.

Just then her head hit the ceiling（天花板）of the room. She was now about three metres tall. Quickly, she took the key from the table and hurried to the garden door. But she was too tall to go through the door. She began to cry. The tears ran down her face, and soon there was a large pool of salt water all around her on the floor. Suddenly, she heard a voice, and she stopped crying to listen."Oh, the Duchess（公爵夫人），the Duchess! She'll be very angry! I'm late, and she's waiting for me, Oh dear, oh dear!" It was the White Rabbit again. He was hurrying down the long room, with a pair of white gloves in one hand and a fan in the other hand. Alice was afraid, but she needed help. So she said in a low voice, "Oh, please, sir—"

Her voice frightened（使惊恐）the Rabbit. He dropped the gloves and the fan, and ran away quickly.

Alice picked up the gloves and the fan. The room was very hot, so she cooled down with the fan. She said, "Oh dear! How strange everything is today! Shall I get smaller during the night?"

She began to feel very unhappy again, but then she looked down at her hand. She was wearing one of the Rabbit's white gloves. "How did I get it on my hand?" she thought. "Oh, I'm getting smaller again! I'm already less than a meter tall and getting smaller every second! How can I stop it?" She saw the fan in her other hand. "It must be the fan!" she thought, and quickly she dropped it.

She was now very, very small, and the key was still lying on the table.

"Things are worse than ever," thought poor Alice. She turned away from the door, and fell into sail water, right up to her neck. At first she thought it was the sea, but then she saw it was the pool of her own tears.

"Oh, why did I cry so much?" said Alice. She swam around and looked for a way out, but the pool was very big. Just then she saw an animal in the water near her. It looked like a large animal to Alice, but it was only a mouse.

"Shall I speak to it?  thought Alice. "Everything is very strange here, so perhaps a mouse can speak.

Then she began, "Oh, Mouse, do you know the way out of this pool? I am very tired of swimming."

But the mouse looked at her with its little eyes and said nothing.

Perhaps it doesn't understand English, thought Alice. "Perhaps it's a French mouse." So she began again, and said in French, "Where is my cat?"(This was the first sentence in her French book.)

The mouse jumped half out of the water and looked at her angrily.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" cried Alice quickly. "Of course, you don't like cats, do you?

"No. I don't like cats," the mouse replied.

My dad was a big fan of tea. He always asked me, "Lingling, how about enjoying a cup of tea with me?" I always refused and thought it was too boring. But one day, I accepted, and I was glad I did that. 

That day, as usual, Dad made the tea silently. Sitting by his side, I kept silent, too. Through his peaceful moves, I felt the steam (蒸汽) rising from the teapot and cups. After Dad poured the boiling water into the teapot, the tea leaves opened slowly. Then the water turned green little by little, as if someone was drawing a beautiful Chinese painting. 

I took a cup and tasted it. It was a little bitter (苦的) at first. But when I tasted it again, the tea left a wonderful taste. I even felt a sweetness. 

I suddenly realized that life is just like a cup of tea. The world around us is like the boiling water and the people are like the leaves. The leaves can give off their delicate fragrance (微妙的香味) only through hot water. Similarly, we must also go through difficulties in our life: Maybe we must face bitterness in the beginning, but we can choose to fight for the sweetness ahead.

Some parents are sharing the strange and funny things their kids ever did. 

What do you usually do when you feel upset? Read 1 book or do some sports? As for me, I usually listen to music, especially songs 2 a group called Pentatonix. The members of the group make music only with 3 voices.

Pentatonix started with three people: Kirstin, Scott and Mitch. The three friends liked to sing together when they were students. Later, two more people, Avi and Kevin, 4 the group. All members were good at performing music when they were very young. Scott has given 5 since he was eight. Kirstin and Mitch started doing musicals around the age of 9 to 10. Kevin 6 play classical music at a young age, and Avi joined a singing group at 14. 7 talented they were!

In 2011, Pentatonix entered a musical competition and became the winner. They received ＄200,000 and a record deal with a record company (公司). However, the company dropped the group for no reason soon. The members were surprised. 8 they didn't give up. One year later, an online program 9 by them. There they posted videos of their songs. Soon, they became popular. Today, the group is still singing. I believe it will get even 10 in the future.
