The story is about Robinson.

And so my life went on on the island. Every month, I learned to do or to make something new. But I had troubles. Once there was a terrible storm with very heavy rain. My cave fell down, and nearly killed me! I had to build it up again with many pieces of wood（木头）.

I had a lot of food from the ship. I baked it over a fire or dried it in the sun to keep it longer. So I could eat it during the rainy months. I learned to make pots to keep my food in. But I wanted very much to make a harder, stronger pot to cook food in a fire.

I tried many times, and one day I was lucky. I made some new pots and put them in a very hot fire. Their colors became different, but they did not break. They were hard and strong. I had useful pots. That night I was very happy. With them, I had hot water for the first time on the island.

One day, I found a little bag. I used it on the ship to keep the chickens' food in. There was still some of the food in the bag, and I dropped some of it onto the ground. A month later, I saw something bright green there. The seedlings（幼苗）grew fast and after six months I had a very small field of corn. That was luck and I was very excited. 

 In our life, we often get into trouble. What should we do when we meet some ? Maybe we can get the answer from this story.

One day, a group of sparrows（麻雀）flew far from their home to look for food. They saw some food from the sky. Then they made a  to stop there and eat it. 

After finishing the food, they couldn't fly away, so they  a cow for help. 

The cow said, "I'm sorry. I can't do anything. It is a trap（陷阱）. My set it."

After hearing this, the sparrows became . But the cow told them they still had time to get themselves free. 

One sparrow asked, "But how? This trap is too heavy." The cow told the sparrows to fly together at the same time. The sparrows did so. To  surprise, they lifted the whole trap into the sky.

They all felt happy. , there was a strong wind and the rain began to   

against them. They didn't take any breaks. In order to return home , they worked harder. Finally, they reached their home. Their friend, a mouse, cut the trap and freed them.

In our daily life, we should also work together. Just as the saying goes, "Two heads are  than one."

My friends and I will  at the charity sale, and we hope to raise lots of money!

We plan to  the old books and toys.

This weekend, our class is  for a charity sale.

Before breakfast, I  like making my bed.

In some parts of the world, children don't have enough food to eat or enough money to buy clothes or shoes. Every year at Sunshine Middle School, we do something to raise money for these children. This year we will have Market Day.

Market Day will fall on July 

8. We are going to make the student centre at our school look just like a big shopping centre! People can come at any time from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and buy everything from clothes to books, cakes and flowers.

Luckily for us, many volunteers will help prepare for the big event. Last year, Ms Grant and Ms Ali made some wonderful cakes for our charity event. They will do it again this year. Bill Thomas will visit Bookworm Bookshop and Mel's Music Shop and ask them to give us things that we can sell at the event. Philip White will e-mail all the teachers and ask them to come to our event. Alice Brown will put a message online telling the public the event is open to everyone.

However, there is more to do, and we need your help. We want you to give us things that we can sell—anything that we can sell to raise money for poor children. We also need some student volunteers to sell the things on Market Day.

With your help, we will certainly have a successful event!

Yesterday my dad and I went hiking in the mountain. We enjoyed the fresh air and planned to stay in the hotel room for another two days. However, I think it's one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life! A storm woke me up early. I got up and looked out of the window of our hotel. I listened to the thunder and watched the lightning. It wasn't scary at that time, but it was exciting!

But then I looked at my phone and saw on the news that a hurricane was coming. I asked my dad what a hurricane was and asked him if he knew what to do. He told me not to worry because a hurricane is just a big storm. We stayed in our hotel room and by the afternoon, there was even more rain. And the winds were getting stronger and stronger.

In the evening, a hotel worker asked all the visitors to go to the dining hall. When we were all inside, we put tables in front of the doors and then we got down on the floor together in the corner. We waited and waited. The winds got louder, the rain became heavier and then it suddenly went dark. I was so startled that I held（抓住）my dad's hand. We stayed there for a long time.

Finally, morning arrived. The storm was over. I felt so happy that we were safe. I hope I will never have a night like that again.

Li Hua's study group carried out an experiment（实验）to model the greenhouse effect. Here is their report.

It was not common for the human body to sit for a long time in the old days. But now sitting for a long time every day is common. Sitting for a long time is dangerous for your health. You can hurt your arms and your neck.  

People who work in offices often have health problems. People who travel many hours on planes often say they feel bad at the end of a long trip. The advice below can help you if you don't want any problems. 

Sit properly. Keep your back straight and your feet on the floor. It is very necessary to have a comfortable chair. 

Take breaks often. Don't sit for more than thirty minutes.  Having a break can help you do more work in the day. 

 Water cleans your body and keeps you healthy. It's good for you and gives you energy. But please don't drink lots of coffee or tea. 

Move your body. Stretching（拉伸）is a simple and quick way of moving your body while you are sitting. Stretch your arms, your hands and your shoulders（肩膀）.     

Stamp collecting is now a big hobby for young people to remember their travels. Lovers of this hobby collect the 1 , usually with pictures and names of the places, on postcards or in travel notebooks.

Kuang Zhaoxin, a 25-year-old dancer, enjoys collecting stamps. For her, this is a great way to 2 her trips and give her "a sense of ceremony（仪式感）". 3 during a two-day trip to Beijing, she collected over 80 stamps! She happened to collect some beautiful cultural relic stamps（文物邮票）from 4 .

My free time activities

I do many things in my free time.

Rock climbing is a sport, but many people enjoy it. Climbers work out a lot to get fit, so they can take up this risky（有风险的）sport safely.

Joanne is an 18-year-old girl and a rock climbing lover. She took up when she was only six and joined a climbing club. Her first climb was indoors on a special climbing wall. But when she was ten, she did her first climb outdoors.

She says, "I wasn't scared, but I felt a little nervous that day. My dad came with me and he gave me a lot of good. We three hours finishing the climb. I was very happy when I managed to to the top. It was the most   moment of my life!"

Now, she takes part in climbing every Saturday. She has special climbing equipment（装备）. She has a strong rope and  climbing shoes.

Joanne is also a climbing. She works at a climbing club and this is her  year there. She says, "I love teaching kids to climb and  enjoy at the same time."
