Hi, I'm Lina, and I live in Thailand. The elephant is favourite animal. I love them because they are and clever—they are also symbol of good luck here. As our national animal, we Thai Elephant Day every 13 March to show our love for them. Elephants have long to pick up heavy things, and they are great who love playing in water. What's more, they remember friends and places for years, and they look after the sick and baby elephants kindly., now they are in danger. People cut down forests and kill them for ivory. We protect them.

This reminds me of life rules. My friend Tina once said (说) there are too many rules, like making her bed, wearing a uniform, and practising the piano before playing. But just like protecting elephants, these rules help us become a person. No rules, no order—we need them to make the world kind and safe, just like we need to protect elephants.

Black food is very good, but our bodies need food of various colors. Food is colorful. Some food is green, some food is red, and some is black. It isn't good to always eat food of the same color. Colorful fruits and vegetables are good for our health. Their colors help us keep healthy. Green is good for our eyes. Blue and purple help us remember things well. They are good for our eyes, too. Red gets us healthy hearts. Yellow and orange get us a lot of Vitamin C. So we should not eat only a few kinds of foods. You can take photos of your food for a few days. Then you can use them to know clearly what you eat every day.

The leader is very important. She decides (决定) where to find food and water. Other female elephants help take care of the baby elephants. They teach the baby elephants how to survive in the wild when facing problems. As a result, the babies grow up in a healthy and happy way. Female elephants stay with their family for their whole life.

In the group, young male (雄性) elephants help watch over the family. When male elephants are 12 to 15 years old, they leave the family and join other male elephants. Elephants have good memories (记忆力) and can remember their family even after many years.

Elephants care for each other like a big, warm family. That's why lots of people in the world love the animals.
