Zong Qinghou, the founder（创始人）of Wahaha Group, was  (bear) in 1945. When he was a child, he lived a hard and poor life. However, his parents were strict  him and he studied really well at school. Unluckily, he left school and began making money to support his family at the age of 17. 

At first, he worked as a worker and a salesman, and then he set up an electric fan factory. These efforts led to his future success. Zong started  (he) own business when he was 42 years old.

Have you ever counted the number of digits（数字）in your mobile phone number? Your number has eleven digits.  That's because China has the longest mobile phone numbers in the world. Why is that?

The eleven digits can be divided into three parts.  The first three numbers tell you which mobile phone service provider you are using. For example, 135 is for China Mobile Communication Corporation（中国移动） and 188 is for China Unicom（中国联动）. The fourth to the seventh digits tell you which areas the number is recorded in. And the last four digits are random（随机的）. 

The main reason for using 11 digits is that we have the largest population in the world. We once had ten numbers. So we began to use eleven digits starting from 1999. 

Eleven digits can be used to make tens of millions of mobile phone numbers. That's enough for each person to have seven or eight phone numbers to use in China. Usually, the service provider will reuse a canceled number after three to six months. Besides China, Britain and Japan also use 11-digit mobile phone numbers.  So they cannot create as many numbers as we can. Countries like the United States, Australia and India use mobile phone numbers with ten digits, Canadians mobile phone numbers are perhaps the world's shortest: they use seven digits.

AI uses a lot of water to "grow". The world's water may not be enough. Many people don't have enough water to drink. But AI technology helps people. Should we rethink how we use AI?  

I am Barbara Sloan, 51 years old. I want to share my experience about an unusual friendship. How many friendships last for decades without meeting? That's what happened between me and my French pen friend Michele.
