Last year, our science teacher, Mr. Lee, s starting to plant something behind our school. She thought it would be a great way to c nature with people. We all thought it was （方便的）since the empty land was just near our classroom building.

We started by （聚集） old tools and seeds from our homes. One Saturday morning, we  old tools and seeds on the ground and began our work—clear the weeds and turn the soil. But a few days later, we found that birds had (偷) eaten some of our seeds. We felt a little angry. But Jenny, one of our classmates,  (有礼貌的)suddenly asked if we could cover the area with nets. We all agreed.

All around the world, families celebrate special days together. Traditions for these days  (be) very different. Some of them may surprise you.

Mick Polly, an owner of a toy store, lives with his teenage daughter Carolina in Kentucky. He is known 1 the Blue Man. Over the past five years, Mick has built hundreds of bikes for the needy kids.

One day in 2022, a 13-year-old boy with a 2 bike walked by Mick's house. "I was working in my garage(车库）, and he asked3 I could fix it," says Mick, now 53.
