In Canada, many families have pets like dogs, cats, and horses. People love these pets and them as their good friends. Before bringing a pet home, they usually take it to a pet . There, an

animal doctor checks the  carefully, and gives it vaccines(疫苗) to protect it from some .

There are special pet food shops in Canada, you can buy pet food in almost every shop.Some people  about two hundred Canadian dollars a month on pet food. When you visit aCanadian family, they would be very glad to show you  pets. Many homes also have a bird feeder(喂食器) in the garden. All kinds of birds are  to eat there.

In Canada, there are laws(法律) to protect wild animals. It's  the law to hurt or hunt wild animals. When an animal gets hit by a car, people feel very sad.

People in Canada really love animals. With animals around, every family  warmer and happier. That's why animals are an important part of life in Canada.

Have you ever seen sugarcane? It is not a tree, but a type of grass. It can grow very tall, much taller than a person. It has long,hard stems that look like bamboo.

This plant needs a lot of sun, warmth, and rain. That's why it grows well in hot areas. In my hometown, Guangxi, sugarcane fields are everywhere.

The magic of sugarcane is inside its stem. It is filled with sweet juice！ In fact, we make most of the world's sugar from the sweet juice. To get the sugar, farmers first cut the tall stems. Then, they press the stems to take out the sweet juice. After that, they heat（加热）the juice until it becomes thick and turns into sugar. Besides sugar, the leftover parts can even be used to make paper.

In my hometown, people don't just grow sugarcane—— they enjoy it as a natural snack（零食）, too！Sugarcane has become part of their daily life. But for people like me who work in other cities, sugarcane is more than a snack. It's the taste of childhood and home. In every bite, we taste the warmth of Guangxi.

Leo often sees his classmate, Sam, sitting alone near the dining hall. He is trying to fix(修补) his very old schoolbag. Leo understands Sam might need help. So he talks about it with his mum, and they think of a way to help.

Leo comes up with a kind idea. He asks his teacher for permission to start a small after-school study group. With his teacher's help, Leo starts a"study club" after school. He invites Sam first,saying,"I know you' re good at math. I hope you can help me sometimes." Sam says yes, a little shy.

Now Sam often helps Leo with maths. They become close friends.

My name is Tom, and I'm from Canada. I am staying in a village in Liuzhou now, visiting my friend Li. We are 1 the Sanyuesan Festival!
