How do you go to school? How do your parents get to work? Have you ever dreamed of flying? Scientists believe we might realize this dream by 2081 when flying cars are invented. Every family might have one-not just in movies, but in real life!

These cars could fly by themselves carrying 2-3 people. In the air, they wouldn't need bridges and could land on house roofs (屋顶). This would save space (空间) on the ground.

Many people are excited about flying cars. They think we'd spend less time traveling, get places faster, and sleep more before school because there will be no traffic jams (交通堵塞) in the sky.

But others think it's a bad idea. If a flying car falls from the sky, people might die. They also think flying cars might be bad for the air and the environment (环境).

I think anything is possible. Long ago, people never imagined today's cars. Maybe there will really be flying cars in the future!

Should children do chores? Some believe that children are too young to cook or clean for themselves or their parents. But I think doing chores is good for them.  It will help them in their life. There are many things that parents can do to encourage their children to do chores. Here are some suggestions.

Start early. Parents should give their children chores to do when they are young.

Teach them.  They should show them one chore at a time. And doing chores is also a teaching tool. Parents use the tool to teach children so that they can look after themselves one day.

Parents should make sure that the chores they give to their children are fit for their children's ages and abilities.

For example, pay them 1 dollar for taking out the rubbish. When a child gets paid by his hard work, he will probably have the feeling of growing up.

Although many years have passed, I still clearly remember the first day of my high school at Oriental Land. As I sat down on my bed, I heard a loud noise- the wooden bed board had broken in half. I was really embarrassed.

I might have complained about the poor quality of the bed, but there was a fact that I was to heavy. Standing at 1.72 meters tall, I weighed 95 kilograms. Exercise had never been my thing. What's worse, my parents always made my plate full of meat-heavy dishes, hoping I would grow strong. However, instead of being strong, all I could do was make my chairs groan (嘎吱声).:

After breaking that poor bed, I decided to lose some pounds. As my busy work often stopped me from exercising at the gym, I tried to stay active in my daily life. This habit has stayed with me. On some days, I ride the ten kilometers home after work. On other days, I take the bus, but I often get off one stop early and walk the rest of the way. On weekends, I usually stay busy with a good cleanup at home. This, along with a healthier diet, has worked for me. I'm now 21 kilograms lighter than I was in high school.

You certainly don't have to break a bed to start your fitness journey. To get into a healthy habit, it's better to act sooner than later.

①Did you know that birds can also get "road rage (路怒症)"? A research team from Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) in the UK visited the Galapagos Islands to do a study. They found that car noises make birds angry.

②The Galapagos Islands are on the eastern part of the Pacific Ocean, and are home to a large number of animals and plants.

③ The scientists studied a very common type of yellow warbler (黄莺) in the area. The places that they looked at were either 50 or 100 meters away from the road. In each place, scientists played recorded traffic noise to the yellow warblers to see how they behaved.

④They found that no matter how far the birds were from the road, they sang louder if the place was noisy. In the places with more people, they even sang for a longer time.

⑤What's more, the yellow warblers living 50 meters away from the road were loud and angry. For example, they got very close to the speaker and flew across it over and over again. Those 100 meters away from the noise, however, were quieter.

⑥With more human activity, the number of cars on the Galapagos Islands has gone up in recent years. The birds often use songs to drive people and animals away, but if the traffic noise was louder than their singing, they became more aggressive(富于攻击性的), an ARU scientist told Science Daily.

Ever since I was a little girl, I've loved music. While most kids played outside in the sun, I felt happy inside my house, practicing my cello (大提琴) for hours. Playing the cello took me to a different world, free from worries. It never felt like boring.

After months of practice, the big day arrived ——the Alberta Provincial Music Festival. I sat beside my mother and felt nervous. My hands were shaking as I practiced the notes in my mind. My mother encouraged me as my turn was coming.

When my name was finally called, I took a dp breath and walked on stage. I carefully put my cello in place and began to play. The deep, rich sound filled the room, and everyone watched quietly. Then, my finger slipped and hit the wrong note. I kept playing as if nothing had happened, but inside, I was worried. I thought to myself, "I've just lost my chance."

As soon as I finished, the audience cheered loudly. My mother said that I did well, but I felt disappointed about my mistake. As the last performer finished, the teacher began to announce the winner. I lost hope.

To my surprise, the teacher called me again, saying, "You may now come to the stage and accept your award." I couldn't believe it! My hard work finally paid off. When I received my award, one of the teachers told me, "Don't be so hard on yourself. We all make mistakes."

On a sunny Saturday in late February, Rohan took children's books out of 10 boxes. He was at the Beehive, a place in Los Angeles, California, with his family. People from everywhere are sending books to Rohan because he started Reading Among Ruins. It is a project to give away the books to the children in need. 

Just weeks earlier, wildfires (野火) swept through Los Angeles. More than 16, 0o0 buildings were destroyed (摧毁). Rohan and his family lost their home in the wildfire. Rohan's favorite books were also destroyed. "I was heartbroken, " he told Time For Kids. "Then I thought other people and kids surely felt so sad about losing their books, too. "

That got him to start to do something. "I wanted to help, " he says. Now, he is trying hard to give books to the kids who lost their books in the fires. Veeren is 10. He got books from Rohan. He says he learned a powerful lesson: ""When you are in trouble, " Veeren says, "people will be there for you. "
