Mrs. Wang is a PE teacher. She has two (daughter). They live in a good community in a (城镇).

My mother is a doctor, so she volunteered to provide medical services. She gave the old people free medical exams and young people some suggestions about how to keep healthy. My father is an English teacher. He helped children with their homework. Most of these children's parents were very busy with their work and couldn't have enough time to help children with their study. My father is humorous. He always makes study fun for students. Children in my community were happy to study with him. I took part in the cleaning activity. The four group members and I collected rubbish in the community. We worked for about three hours and collected fifteen kilos of rubbish in all. 

The Community Volunteer Day is meaningful. Everyone tried his or her best to lend a helping hand. We all wanted to make our community a place of love and care.

Mrs. Smith, a teacher, had a special idea. She wanted her students to learn about the importance of doing something for their community. So, she formed a community service team called(叫做) "Happy Volunteers".

There were three groups in this team, and each group had its own way to help the community. Tom's group helped out in the park. They worked hard and picked up litter to make the park beautiful again. Lily's group visited the old people's home. They sang songs from their favorite movies, told jokes(笑话), and helped wash the old people's clothes. The elders were very happy to stay with these children. Kangkang's group worked together to look after the trees and flowers in their community. They cut out bad plants and water the flowers.

At the end of the day, members of these groups got together and shared their experience.

"I never knew picking up rubbish could be so much fun!" said Tom.

"I felt so good to see the old people's smile," said Lily.

 Mrs. Smith looked at her students and smiled, "You all did a meaningful job. Remember, every little action of kindness(善举) makes a big difference to our community. Keep being happy volunteers!"
