The Homework Club is usually in a library or in a classroom. These are good places for students to do their homework quietly. It is a popular activity after school every day. But if there is no school that day, Students will stay at their homes and study on their own. 

What do students do in the Homework Club?

Maybe you think students in the club only do their homework. Actually (事实上), in the Homework Club, the students do their homework for the first hour. They can do everything they like. 

①Hello. I'm Amy. I'm Alice's sister. I'm eight years old and I'm in Grade Three. My favourite subject is Chinese. I think Chinese is an amazing language. 

②My Chinese teacher is Mr. Wang and he is from China. He likes telling stories and playing games with us. His classes are always interesting. 

③I often watch Chinese cartoons (卡通片) after school. I like watching 3.000 Whys of Blue Cat.In the cartoon, a blue cat goes to different places and learns something about science. Alice sometimes watches the cartoon with me, but we don't spend much time on TV. 

④I also like reading Chinese books at home. Mum often spends time reading them with me. She is good at Chinese and she helps me with reading. My father is a music teacher. He learns to sing Chinese songs and teaches me how to sing them. He is so nice. 

⑤I want to be a diplomat (外交官), so it is important for me to learn Chinese well. With the help of my family, I enjoy my Chinese learning. 

①Mr Wilson is a seventy-three-year-old man. His children work and live in New York. Mr Wilson doesn't like living in the big city. So he lives alone (独自) on the farm. He often walks in a small park near the farm in the mornings.

Thanks for your letter. Do you want to know my school days? I am  (usual) very busy from Monday to Friday. In the morning, I get up at about 6:30. Then I often have  egg and some milk for breakfast. They are good  me. 

After breakfast, I go to school. I always take the No. 10 bus to school. At around 7:30, I get to school. The  (one) class begins at 8:00. We often have Maths, Science, English and Chinese in the morning. In the afternoon, we have P. E. and art lessons. Mr. Wang is our form teacher, and he  (teach) us Maths very well. I like Maths very much. Because I think it is both interesting  useful. All the teachers at our school care about  (we) a lot. We get along well with each other.
