Prinzing's second study looked at 545 college students in the US. They were put into three groups—one group did eco-friendly activities, another did fun activities, and the third just had a normal day. After two days, people in both the eco-friendly group and the fun activity group felt much happier than those in the third group.
These studies suggest that helping the Earth helps people feel good.
Each study only took place over a few days, so more research is needed to see if the effects last longer. But either way, doing something good for the Earth could make your day better!
