The Grand Canyon（科罗拉多大峡谷）is an amazing natural wonder on the earth. It attracts（吸引）millions of visitors from all over the world.

The Grand Canyon lies in the north-west of the United States, and its length is amazing. It is known for its unique（独特的）landscape, and the rocks on both sides of the canyon have different shapes, as if（似乎）nature made them with wisdom.

Last summer vacation, I decided to visit the Grand Canyon and expected to see it with my own eyes. When I got there, the scene（场景）in front of me made me feel as if I were in heaven. The canyon is really deep, and the river at the bottom is like a thin ribbon（丝带）. 

The tour guide warned us to be careful and avoid getting close to the dangerous area during hiking. Because the ground in some places is not firm, there may be broken rocks falling.

Around the Grand Canyon, there are some small but beautiful villages. The villagers are hospitable and they welcomed us warmly. Sometimes, they also hold some cultural ceremonies to show local culture.

When I left the Grand Canyon, my heart was filled with respect of nature. I'm looking forward to coming back next time and enjoying its greatness again. And I want to share my trip with more people so they can feel and see such a wonder as well.

Venice is in the north-east of Italy. It is a water city. You can't see any cars or taxis there. When you want to go to a far place, you can take a boat. There are many rivers around the city and there are many kinds of boats.

The city is famous for its canals（运河）. It has one hundred and eighteen islands（岛屿）. About 150 canals and over 400 bridges connect（连接）the islands. 

When you are in Venice, don't miss the places of interest such as the Bridge of Sighs and the Grand Canal. There are a number of famous places in the city, including museums and palaces. Venice is an international（国际的）city. Many important events are often held here. The Venice Biennale（威尼斯双年展）is one of the most important events in the world. 

However, Venice faces a challenge these years. It's slowly going down into the water. When high tides（潮汐）come, the water from the ocean comes into the city. It happens more often, so Venice is lower than it was in the past. This is also destroying the old buildings in the city.

Luckily, engineers are working on a project to save Venice. They're putting 78 big gates to stop the water from coming in. It is difficult and expensive to do that. But if it works, Venice's beautiful buildings will be safe, and the city will still be there for people to visit long into the future.

The West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province is a world-famous visiting site. It1 at the center of the city and is2 popular with travelers from all over the world. The lake is not only famous for its beautiful3 but also for its rich culture.

The landscape around the West Lake is full of famous4 . For example, Leifeng Pagoda stands5 the lake. There are many legends（传奇）and stories about it. The pagoda was once broken, but later it was6 . So now it stands well as before.
