Last month, our school held a talent show, and it was a great chance for us to show our abilities. I really wanted to take part, but I was a bit nervous at first. 

I have always dreamed of being a(音乐家). I played the guitar, and I decided to(表演) a song I wrote myself. However, during the rehearsal(彩排), I made some mistakes and(未能做到) to play well. I felt so disappointed and started to doubt myself. 

But then, I thought about all the hard work I had put in. I knew I needed to be confident and stay energetic. I practised even (努力). My music teacher, who is also a great(设计师) of stage performances, gave me some advice. 

(最终), the big day arrived. When I stepped onto stage, I took a deep(呼吸) and told myself I could do it. I played my song with all my heart. The audience loved it! This experience was full of (意义) for me. It made me realize that as long as I believe in myself and work hard, I am (能够) to overcome(克服)difficulties. 

I'm a  lover. I always dream of becoming a great  in the future. I know it won't be easy. There will be many difficulties on the way, but I'm confident that I can  it. I love reading all kinds of books, which helps me learn different writing styles. I also plan to  writing every day, even if it's just a short story or a diary. 

I believe that as long as I keep learning and practising, everything is  . I hope my stories can touch people's hearts and bring them joy. I'm looking forward to seeing my dream come true one day!

Siene is a firefighter in the US. It isn't easy to become a firefighter there. Many people try, but a lot of them fail. Also, in the past, firefighting was always a job for men. Now there are women firefighters. 

When Siene was five years old, it was her dream to become a firefighter. Forty years later, she was the oldest woman to pass a six-week course at the WFPA(女子消防预备学院). The WFPA trains women in the skills they need to be firefighters. In fact, Siene now trains firefighters there herself. 

Starting the course doesn't mean you'll become a firefighter. The course is very difficult, so not everyone finishes the training. They are trained like being in the army. Can you hold a heavy piece of wood for four minutes? How many exercises can you do? Can you lift a 12-metre ladder?

You also need other skills. Can you lead a team? Are you a skillful driver? Can you use technology? There are so many more that are a part of firefighting these days. Of course, no one can do them all, but more skills certainly help. 

However, you must wait for a chance to work as a firefighter even after passing your course. 

It seems that lots of women aren't ready to do that. In one year, 50 women got trained, but only three of them are now firefighters. Learning the skills is not enough to become a firefighter. Like Siene, you also need to persist in your dream.
