The Great Wall of China is the longest wall in the world.  This is due to a thin layer(层) of plant life  called  biocrust,  including  moss,  lichen  and cyanobacteria.

As you can imagine, there was great disorder in the home. The animals made all kinds of noise. he went in his house, there was a mess. The dogs barked.The sheep cried.  The chickens clucked and the cows bawled.

The man could find no comfort, no peace at all, so he went back to question the wise old woman."Iyou for a long time." She listened patiently(耐心地) to the reasons for not being satisfied, and then offered some new advice."Go home and take all of the animals out of your home," she said without any . The man was confused(迷惑的), as it's only a few days since she advised him to bring them all into the house. But as she was wise, he agreed  her advice. He returned to his house and drove all the animals outside. , it was very quiet in his home.

Near the hometown of the giant pandas sits the LeshanGiant Buddha, looking calm and peaceful by a river. It is one of  places for tourists at home and abroad.

The building of the giant Buddha started in 71 At that time, floods often happened in Leshan area where MinRiver, Qingyi River and Dadu River ran together. Chinese monk(僧侣) Haitong decided  people to build aBuddha sculpture(雕刻) to deal with the waters that did harm to the boats traveling down the rivers. It was a super project in ancient times, which  lots of money.

Haitong went to many places to raise money, and after years, enough money was raised by him to  the project. When he got back to Leshan, officers from the government wanted him to hand in the money.  Haitong refused  the officers came many times.

In the year 713, Haitong started the building of theBuddha.  the hard work of him and the workers, the building process was smooth. However, he died when the giant Buddha was built to shoulders. Because of the death of Haitong, the project  to stop.Later, after many difficulties, it was  completed in 80
