"The art of war is of great importance to the country. It is a matter of life and death, a road to either survival(生存) or ruin(毁灭). Therefore, it demands careful study. " So begins The Art of War, a book on the rules of war that was first published in China.

For over 1, 000 years, The Art of War served as a guide for rulers across Asia as they led armies into battle. However, it did not reach the Western world until the end of the 18th century. It's said that the French emperor Napoleon was the first Western leader to follow its teachings. It was translated into English in 1905, as it was widely accepted in the West by then.
The Art of War shows the basic rules of war and advises leaders on when and how to fight. In its 13chapters(章节), it tells how to plan wars well. For example, one of these plans explains how to use and counter(抵制) different kinds of weapons(武器). It also offers ideas on war and how to solve problems in war. Rules like"Know the enemy and know yourself; in a hundred wars you will never be in danger" can be used not only in war but also in other kinds of disagreements and challenges.
The Art of War was not only written for the leaders of the army. At the same time, bosses use the teachings of The Art of War to get the upper hand in business discussions. Business-school teachers advise their students to read the book, and sports coaches use it to win games. In fact, the wisdom of this 2, 500-year-old book continues to speak powerfully to 21st-century readers.

If this material is cleaned off, the blueberry no longer looks blue. Instead, it turns dark. Sounds amazing, but why?
Actually, blue plants are rare(罕见的) on Earth. Fewer than one tenth of are blue. One of the main reasons is that there is no such color as true blue in the world. Many things around us may look blue, but they actually use a special"skill" to appear the color to human eyes.
So what is the skill that blueberries use? The berry's surface has a lot of anthocyanin(花青素) in it. And it different colors at different temperatures and in different environments. In blueberries, this material appears dark red in color. Rox's team looked at the blueberry's surface with a scientific instrument. And they that there are many tiny structures(结构) on its surface. Each structure is a thousand times than a piece of paper. These structures reflect blue light, making the fruit look blue to eyes.
Rox's team hopes to make something valuable out of the research. Rox said that this smooth material could give us new ideas about coloring clothes because it's easy . It could also provide a new way to color plastics. Maybe we could see more blue things in our everyday lives in the near future.

Artificial intelligence(AI) is used in many areas of our lives. In hospitals, AI helps doctors find out illnesses quickly and correctly, which saves a lot of time. In factories, robots powered by AI can help workers do heavy and dangerous work. AI also helps with transportation, for example, by making self-driving cars safer.
These applications of AI make our lives easier.
b
The development of AI has gone through several stages. It all started with the Dartmouth Conference in 1956. Since then, there have been ups and downs. In the 1980s, expert systems (系统) were developed. In 1997, IBM's Deep Blue beat the world chess champion. Today, with the rise of deep learning, AI is more powerful than ever. It can recognize pictures, understand natural language and even create art.
c
Some experts say that AI will play an important role in education. For example, Beijing put forward its first guide to using AI in schools in 2024. The city planned to finish AI pilot projects(试点项目) by 2025 and to achieve common use of AI in schools by
2027.▲It includes teaching, learning, testing, helping students grow, doing research, and managing schools.
d
There are many arguments about AI. Some people worry that AI will cause them to lose their jobs. Others believe that AI will create new jobs and chances. There are also worries about the bias of AI, which can lead to wrong treatment of certain groups. For example, AI might show pictures of nurses only as women because of stereotypes(刻板印象). So we need to think carefully about how to use AI in the right way so that it helps us in our lives.
