A Naughty(淘气的) Monkey

Once upon a time, there was an old man. He had a naughty monkey. He liked the monkey very much and took good care of him. The monkey was clever and always tried to help the old man. 

It was a very hot afternoon. The old man was sleeping on the chair under the big tree in his yard. The monkey stayed beside the old man and looked after him. Suddenly, a fly (苍蝇) came and sat on the old man's nose. So he couldn't sleep well. The monkey found the fly and drove it away at once. 

After a few minutes, the fly came back and sat on the old man's nose again. The monkey drove it away again and again. 

This happened five or six times. The monkey was very angry. He jumped up, ran to the garden and picked up a large stone. When the fly sat on the old man's nose again, the monkey hit it hard with the stone. 

He killed the fly but broke the old man's nose. 

A dog played in a park yesterday. Then he saw a cat in a tree. He thought, "It's so nice to play in a tree. But I can't  . "The dog felt so bad. 

Then he saw a fish in the river. He thought, "It's so nice to live in the water. But I can't swim . The dog felt more terrible this time. 

Just then he heard the fish say, "It looks so nice and on the grass. I really want to play on it. 

Hearing the words(话), the dog felt surprised. He thought,"The fish lives great life, but she still feels bad. "

After some time, a bird past. She saw the dog  in the park. She shouted, "I really want to play all day like this dog. It really interesting. But I have to get food for my three little  every day.

Dongshi met Xishi in the street. She thought that Xishi's actions made her look more beautiful. Then she imitated Xishi's actions. But her actions made her uglier. People laughed at Dongshi when they saw her. 

A mother duck and her children are on their way to a lake. The ducklings are very happy walking after their mother. 

Suddenly, the mother duck sees a fox in the flowers. She shouts, "Children, run! Run to the lake quickly. There's a fox!"

The ducklings are running to the lake quickly. The mother duck begins to walk slowly with one wing(翅膀) on the ground. When the fox sees this, he is very happy and says to himself, "One of the mother duck's wings is hurt and she can't fly! I can easily catch and eat her!"Then he runs to her. 

The mother duck runs, taking the fox away from the lake. When the mother duck sees her children are all in the lake, she stops and smiles. 

"Ha! Ha! She is tired, "the fox thinks and comes to her. But the mother duck flies to the lake quickly. She flies to the middle of the lake and her children swim to her. The fox looks at the ducks. He can't catch and eat them now.

What color are blueberries(蓝莓)? Blue, of course But according to a scientist Rox Middleton, this is not the  . The fruit only appears blue because of a special chemical material on its surface. If this material is cleaned off, the blueberry no longer looks blue. Instead, it turns   dark. Sounds amazing, but why?

So what is the skill that blueberries use? The berry's surface has a lot of anthocyanin(花青素) in it. And it   different colors at different temperatures and in different environments. In blueberries, this material appears dark red in color. Rox's team looked at the blueberry's surface   with a scientific instrument. And they   that there are many tiny structures(结构) on its surface. Each structure is a thousand times   than a piece of paper. These structures reflect blue light, making the fruit look blue to   eyes. 

Rox's team hopes to make something valuable out of the research. Rox said that this smooth material could give us new ideas about coloring clothes because it's easy   . It could also provide a new way to color plastics. Maybe we could see more blue things in our everyday lives in the near future.
