Photo-taking drone（无人机）

Spark is a camera drone. It can fly above your head and take photos. A Chinese company called DJI made it. It is very small. When folded, it is as small as a can of soda. Like other drones, you can control it with a remote control. But you can also control it with hand gestures.

This is the coolest part. Put your hand close to your face. Spark is ready to take a photo of you when its red light flashes. Then, put your hand down. After a few seconds, the photo is taken. With hand gestures, taking photos is very convenient.

Hospital robotMoxi

Nurses are busy with many things during atypical workday. It can be hard for nurses to make time for their most important task: interacting（互动）with their patients. The company Diligent Robotics has built a hospital robot called Moxi. It can help nurses do non-patient-facing tasks so that they have more time for patient care.

Moxi has an arm to reach and a gripper（抓爪）to pick up things. It can move around easily. It is able lo finish tasks one by one on its own. After testing Moxi for one year, the company plans to send Moxi to more US hospitals by the end of 2020.

Smart hand

People use artificial intelligence（AI）in many ways. The company Brain Robotics used it to make a smart prosthetic（假体的）hand. With its AI software, the hand can "learn" from its user and vice versa（反之亦然）. This kind of learning helps the hand work like a real hand. The more it is used, the more lifelike it will be.

The hand is cheaper than other prosthetic hands thanks to the use of 3D printing. Each hand is printed to fit the user correctly. Users don't have to pay for extra doctor visits.

I am interested in inventions because they can make our lives better. One of my favorite inventions is the smartphone. It combines many functions, like making calls, sending messages, taking photos, and surfing the Internet. Another great invention is the electric car. It is more environmentally friendly than traditional cars. I also admire the invention of 3D printing. It can create real objects from digital models. Inventions are not only about high-tech things. Even simple inventions, like the paperclip, can be very useful. I hope to learn more about inventions and maybe create my own someday.

Combs serve different functions for different hair types and styles. People use combs to deal with disordered (凌乱的) or wet hair. Another common use for the comb is to secure hair in one position. During the 1900s, combs were the best choice for keeping hair beautiful.

In the earliest time, people made combs from bones of animals. But later, people began to make combs from wood or plastic. Now most people use these two kinds of combs because they are cheap. And high-end combs are made of expensive steel or gold.

At present, combs have different shapes and types in different colours. People can choose their favourite combs as they like. But when using combs, we should know we'd better not use others' combs. And we should wash or brush our combs with clean water as often as possible to keep them clean.
