Have you ever seen a robot that walks like a dog or dances at big events? Unitree Robotics makes amazing robots that have performed at famous shows like the 2025 Year of the Snake CCTV Spring Festival Gala! Today, we' re talking to Wang Xingxing, the founder（创建者）of Unitree Robotics, to learn more about these great machines. 

Reporter: Hi, Mr. Wang! 

Mr. Wang: Sure! I'm Wang Xingxing, and I started Unitree Robotics. We build smart robots that can walk, run, and even dance at big events!

Reporter: Wow! What made you decide to create these robots?

Mr. Wang:  I wanted to make robots that are helpful, fun, and powerful enough to be used in different industries. 

Reporter: 

Mr. Wang: Our most popular robot is called the Unitree Gol. It's a four-legged robot that's fast, balanced, and can follow people or do cool skills like dancing!

Reporter: That sounds fantastic! Can these robots do important work, too?

Mr. Wang: Yes! Our robots are used for security（安全）, checking dangerous areas, and even helping in emergencies. 

Reporter:     That's so cool! What's next for Unitree Robotics?

Mr. Wang: We' re working on making robots even smarter so they can understand people better and help more in everyday life.

Most of us have got some LEGO at home. Now, people pay a lot of money for just one piece. There's a website called www.BrickLink.com where you can sell your old LEGO pieces. A normal piece, if it's the right colour, can sell for $30, and a Darth Vader Helmet（头盔）sells for $60. There aren't many original（原作的）Star Wars Millennium Falcon sets in the world, so one of these is worth $2, 000!

Did you use to collect Happy Meal Toys? They' re free when you buy a Happy Meal at McDonald' s. Someone recently paid $360 for a set of the Minions and one Pikachu from a Japanese Happy Meal sold for $100! If you haven't got a complete set, don't worry. You can still get about$500 for a box of mixed toys. 

Maybe you' ve got some old boxes of cereal（谷物）, too. There were cereals for every film character and video game in the 80s and 90s, and Nintendo cereals were especially popular. A collector recently paid $200 for a box of these cereals, and someone paid half of that for an empty box!

Today, people change their phone every year or two, so you' ve probably got one of these. It isn't worth much now, but don't throw it away. It could be valuable in the future. A 1983Motorola recently sold for $550, and other old phones are worth the same. 

So, if you want to buy new things and you haven't got enough money, go and look in your old boxes. Maybe you' ll find some treasures there!

Have you ever thought about who made your jeans or designed the logos（徽标）on your shirts? Most people know little about fashion design, so here are two young designers to show us what it's like. 

Josh Birch Jones, 19, has been interested in fashion since he was four. He started by drawing his mother' s dresses and creating his own versions. By now, he's designed and made many evening dresses and shown more than three collections in public. Josh lives near London with his mother and designs at home. When he's not designing, Josh is a normal teenager, going to school and hanging out with his friend. At first, his friend thought it was strange that Josh wanted to be a fashion designer, but now he understands why Josh enjoys it so much. Josh designs dresses to make women feel full of power and believes fashion is one of life's little luxuries（奢侈品）。

Emma Kenyon works for a fashion company that designs clothes for both men and women. Each morning, she checks which clothes are selling the best to help plan her new designs. She also spends a lot of time on social media and says the best part of her job is seeing people wearing her designs on the Internet. Emma advises young people to work hard in school and get experience. She's worked at two famous stores, where she learned how to invent forms and design on a computer. She suggests taking as many chances as possible to get work experiences, which she believes is a great way to learn. 

What's interesting about both Josh and Emma is that they not only love fashion but also enjoy making people happy with their clothes. They both understand the importance of learning, which may explain their success at such a young age. 

American Dennis Tito was the first ever space tourist in 2001. Then there was South African Mark Shuttleworth in 2002 and American Gregory Olsen in 2005. American Richard Garriott was finally in space in 2008——for him it really was the trip of a lifetime. 

As a young boy, Richard Garriott was similar to other children, with a dream of being an astronaut. NASA was only a few miles away from his home in the US and his dad was an astronaut! However, Richard's eyesight（视力）was bad——he couldn't see well without glasses. Good eyesight is important for an astronaut. But Richard decided to find another way to travel into space. 

As an adult, Richard was very successful and he was able to make enough money to travel into space on the Soyuz TMA-13. The ticket for the trip to space was $30 million. Finally, on 12th October, 2008, Richard was on Soyuz TMA-13 with the American NASA astronaut, Edward Fincke and the Russian astronaut, Yuri Lonchakov. They were in space for 12 fantastic days. 

On the International Space Station there were lots of experiments（实验）to do, so Richard was like a normal astronaut. One experiment for NASA was to study the effect of space travel on people with eye problems. Another experiment was for a Japanese watch company. Richard travelled into space with a special low-gravity watch. 

Now, Richard gives talks about his trip and explains to people how looking at the earth from space gives you a new way of seeing our world: From space you can see how humans are changing the planet. Richard's next dream is to move to Mars with his family!

As we all know, rainforests are important to the earth.

Our school is going to hold a School Cultural Festival next month. It's a great chance to show our talents and learn about different cultures. To make the festival more wonderful, we are planning many activities. 

First, we will display some works about （国家的）cultures. Students can draw pictures of famous places in different countries or make models of traditional buildings. This activity helps us understand and respect cultures around the world. 

During the preparation, teamwork is very important. We shouldn't work （单独，独自）. Instead, we should help each other. For example, when making posters, we need to work together to （表达）our ideas clearly. Good （行为，举止）is also necessary. We should listen to others' opinions patiently and avoid arguing. 

There are some rules to keep us safe. It's d to use sharp tools like scissors without teachers' help. We must follow the safety instructions.

Open your mind

Being curious about the world around you can improve your confidence. 

Having an open mind and being curious means trying to understand other people's thoughts and ideas, even if you don't always agree with them. It also means trying new experiences and exploring different ways of doing things.  A nine-year-old boy, Elliot, says he likes finding new ways to build Lego（乐高）. "Learning from the Lego books helped me make good models by myself, " he explains. 

How is it good for you?

 Cherry is a writer and expert in thoughts and feelings, and she says it helps you learn new things about the world and the people around you. This makes you feel more confident and positive about facing challenges. Having an interest in other people gives you more understanding of them, which means you can better share their feelings, says Cherry. Being open to new ideas can also help you come up with exciting ideas of your own. 

How can you be more curious and open-minded?

 If you' re unsure about joining a new club, ask yourself what's stopping you. Imagine how it feels to learn a new skill, meet new people, and make friends.  Give yourself time to think about it first. If someone says something you disagree with, then instead of deciding they are wrong, take a moment to think about why they have that opinion. Finally, open your mind to new ideas. Even if you think you' re an expert on a subject, there is always more you can learn, Cherry says. 

Tangyuan, those soft white balls with sweet fillings, always make me think of family warmth. Every Winter Solstice（冬至）, Grandma would invite me to make them together. "The round shape is the 1 of family unity. " she said. 

The preparation started with mixing glutinous rice flour（糯米团）and warm water. Grandma' s hands moved 2 , turning the powder into smooth dough（面团）. "Patience is the secret. " she smiled,3 me to knead（揉）it gently. Then we would pinch（捏）small pieces, flatten them, and add fillings——black sesame（芝麻）was my 4 . 

Grandma then taught me to drop the tangyuan carefully. "Wait until they go up. " she said. The kitchen was full 5 a sweet smell that made our mouths water. 

Last year, Grandma was ill. I decided to 6 her by making tangyuan alone. Though my first batch（批）came out 7 ——some broke open in the water——I kept trying. When I served the perfect ones to her bedside, tears sh one in her eyes. "My little girl has grown up. " she said softly, holding my hands.

①You may hear of" city bu city", an internet buzzword（流行语）created by the foreign blogger Baobaoxiong. People use it to ask if a place feels like a big, fashionable city. 

②Millions of foreigners like Baobaoxiong are visiting China much more easily because of the visa-free transit policy（过境免签政策）. Travelers from 54 countries can stay in China for up to six days without a visa（签证）if they have a travel document（文件）and a ticket to leave.

Lin looked at the things in the box and felt both excited and worried. The first week of learning was difficult. Bamboo splinters（竹刺）hurt her fingers as she tried to shape the strips. "Why must I learn this old work?" she cried angrily. Her grandfather didn't say anything. Instead, he silently lit an old lantern. Its painted rabbit was gathering plants under the moon, just like in the Dunhuang wall paintings. The soft light of the lantern seemed to tell a story of the past. 

At the Mid-Autumn Festival, Lin walked through the streets and found children not looking at traditional lanterns. They were more interested in the bright, colorful toys. An idea came to her. She decided to mix the old with the new. Lin cleverly added LED lights, creating dark shapes that moved with the wind. She also programmed the lantern so that touching the rabbit's foot would start reading a Tang poem. Lin's"Smart Rabbit Lantern" became really popular. Children gathered around, amazed by the dark shapes and the sound of the ancient poem. At the end of the festival, Lin's lantern won the first prize. Her grandfather smiled proudly and said, "Tradition is like the moon-it shines brightest when reflecting new light. By adding modern parts, you' ve given our art a new life. "

Lin felt a sense of success. She realized that traditions could be kept and refreshed at the same time. She had found a way to keep the past alive. 

Going green makes a big difference in our life. I'm Jessica Wong. Today I' ll tell you what my family does every day to save the Earth. It's reported that a common family produces more than one ton of rubbish a year. Some of this waste takes hundreds of years to decay. Also, it costs much money to buy new things to take the place of the things we throw away. 

In order to protect the environment and save money, my family has recycled everything. On the one hand, we collect used things every day, such as paper, bottles and boxes, and put them into different bins. Then they are sent to a recycling center. Finally, they are treated and can be used again. Recycling will help reduce a lot of waste. On the other hand, we use old clothes to make different kinds of bags. I especially like to use old jeans to make bags. These cute and useful bags are popular with young people. As a result, I open a small shop and set up a website to sell them online. 

What's more, my parents and my brother often go to work by bike. If it rains, they' ll take the bus. We' re also going to grow our own vegetables, raise cows, keep hens and ducks. Soon, we' ll be able to have eggs and milk for meals. 

What a difference we make for our Earth!
