Pandas are so cute! They live in bamboo forests in the mountains of China. These places are like their special homes.

Pandas are easy to see because of their black and white fur. Their bodies are round. They have black circles around their eyes, just like wearing funny glasses. Their ears and legs are black, too.Pandas have a special "thumb". It helps them hold bamboo, just like we hold a stick.

Bamboo is pandas' favourite food. They spend most of the day eating it. They need to eat a lot because bamboo doesn't have much energy. Sometimes, pandas eat a few small animals, fish, or fruits. But bamboo is their favorite.

Pandas can do a really cool thing—climb trees. Even though they are a bit heavy, they are good at it. They climb trees to sleep or get away from dangerous things. People all over the world love pandas. China tries hard to keep their home safe.

I like animals very much, especially (尤其) birds. When I have time, I like watching birds and reading books about animals. Let me tell you something about owls (猫头鹰) and pigeons (鸽子). 

Owls are night animals. They have big eyes. They can see better at night. Owls are quite strange (奇怪). They sleep in the daytime. At night, they come out to look for food. So animals like owls are called nocturnal ones. 

Pigeons are big birds. They like to live in a birdhouse. Many people like to keep pigeons. They make rooms for them near a window. In the day, the pigeons fly away. But at night, they come back. Sometimes people take a pigeon far away from home and they tie (系) a letter (信) to one of its legs. The pigeon can take the letter back home!

"Ben, brush your teeth before breakfast!"

All day long, parents and teachers keep telling Ben what to do and what not to do. At night, Ben lies (躺) in his bed and thinks, "Don't do this, and don't do that! I don't want any rules. They're terrible!"

Suddenly (突然), Ben is in his classroom. The classroom is noisy. Some students are eating. Some are running. But the teachers don't say anything. "Haha, it's so great!" Ben says. "There are no rules! Now I can go out to play!"

Ben goes to the cinema, and his favourite movie is on. But people talk a lot and walk here and there. Ben can't see or hear the movie well. He asks them to stop, but no one listens because there are no rules. 

Ben goes to the zoo to watch animals. Many people feed food to animals there. Ben feels bad. Suddenly a bear runs at him. There are no rules in the zoo and someone lets it out! Ben is very afraid and he runs away…

 Then he wakes up. "Oh, it is just a dream!"
