When Sammie Vance was eight, she learned about Buddy Benches from a video. The video showed how these benches(长凳) are used on playgrounds. "If somebody is lonely, they can sit on the bench then, " Sammie explained. "Another person can come up to them and ask them to play. "

Sammie thought her school could have a Buddy Bench, so she and her mom set up a meeting with the headmaster. They learned of a local company, Green Tree Plastics, that recycles(回收利用) plastic bottles into benches. 

Sammie liked the idea of a Ruddy Bench that would help kids and the environment. Her headmaster liked it, too. Then Sammie created a comic(漫画) that showed how a Buddy Bench works. She and her mom posted it on the social media to ask friends and family to save bottles. They also took the drawing to local businesses to ask for their help. 

In just two months, the project collected more than 1, 200 bottles—enough to make three Buddy Benches! After reaching her goal, Sammie set a new one—Buddy Bench everywhere. So far, she has collected enough bottles to give 100 benches to schools and organizations in 12 states. She continued to collect bottles to share with kids working toward their own Buddy Benches. And she has made videos to ask others to start their projects. 

These days, visiting museums is getting more and more popular. Now some students share their favorite ones in Hangzhou. Here are different opinions.

Your breakfast is ready. But you decide to check your phone quickly. Well, you'd better not. 

Exercise in the morning. 

Some people may disagree with this one. Some people like to exercise after work. 

 By the end of the day, you may not have the time or energy to exercise. Exercising in the morning prevents that from happening.

Last Saturday my friend Ted asked me if I would like to learn how people make tofu. I couldn't think of any good reason not to be interested, so I said, "Yes. "So the next day I met with him and other three nice people at Hodo Soy Beanery in Oakland. I enjoyed the tour. I got a lot from the trip. The following is what I learnt.

Douhua is one kind of soft tofu. It is a popular breakfast food in China. Because it is very soft, people can't eat it with chopsticks, but with a teaspoon(茶匙). People often eat it as a dessert and often add spring onions and sauce to it. In Malaysia, people usually eat douhua with white or dark sugar water.

Your parents know what's best for you, but I understand that sometimes you need a break. I think there are two things you can try. You can talk to your parents seriously and sincerely. You must tell them how you feel and maybe they can make the rules more reasonable. For example, you can ask your parents to give you a time limit(限制) each day. You can watch TV during the time limit. Ask them to give you just a little break. They might be more willing(愿意) to do this. You can also find a different way to take a break. For example, you can read a fun book or draw. The most important thing is that you have to know your parents make these rules to help you. So you should try to understand them.
