In the UK, a woman often  her family name to her husband's family name. So my mother's family name changed from Grant to Wood. Sometimes, the woman's and the man's last names are  together. Names show  ties.

In gardening class, teachers teach students how to plant vegetables. Then students work together. They really love this subject. "We can have great fun in gardening class. We can get out and do things with our hands, " says Anna, one of the students. 

     ▲      Some students like to plant tomatoes and carrots. "The tomato is my favourite vegetable. It's always fun to get a tomato, clean and eat it right in the garden, " says Anna. 

Students can learn something from the class too. Keeping a school garden is not easy and all the students need to come and help. It teaches students to work together. Also, some vegetables are easy to grow but others need a long time. This teaches students they need to wait before they get the things they want. 

Students really love having outdoor classes like this. And they want to have more in the future.
