Beavers are amazing animals which have fat bodies and small heads. They are mostly active at night and love to live near rivers and lakes.

However, beavers sometimes can cause problems for humans. Their dams can flood roads, fields, and even houses. This is especially a problem in areas where people live near rivers and farms. What's more, their habits of biting down trees can harm forests and even power lines.

To solve these problems, people have developed wonderful methods. In some places, they use special tools to keep beavers away from roads or valuable trees. Sometimes, they may move beavers to new places, where they can build their new dams without making trouble. With these smart ways, we can not only enjoy the benefits beavers bring to nature, but also protect our homes well.

According to the latest survey, China is facing an aging population. In recent years, China's birth rate (出生率) has been at a low level. In 2024, the birth rate hit a new low—only 9,540,000 babies were born in the whole year.

By 2040, China's population will be 1.35 billion, and about 30% of the people will be over 60 years old. The aging problem is getting worse and worse.

A 14-year-old middle school student from Zhengzhou, Henan Province, built his own telescope (望远镜), using plastic pipes, parts of a drum set and other materials. The student, named Ma Junhe, spent just 70 yuan building a Newtonian telescope. He has even observed（观察）the moon' s surface with it.

Ma dreamed of exploring (探索) the moon from a young age. After learning how to make a smart telescope during a physics class, he decided to build one by himself. But without enough pocket money, he could only afford to buy the lenses online. And he used second-hand materials for everything else. The telescope tube (管) was made from a plastic pipe. He used parts from his old drum set to make the mount.

Even though he failed many times, his effort paid off. When he looked through the telescope for the first time, he saw the moon's surface clearly. "The moment I saw the craters (坑) on the moon's surface, it felt like my dream had come true," he shared proudly. "And I now hope to visit the moon some day."

 "The teacher only wanted him to see the FU Tower, a tourist attraction in Zhengzhou, but Ma ended up seeing the moon' s craters. That's impossible to believe!" Ma's classmates said admirably.

Although Ma failed many times before succeeding, he didn't give up and never found the process boring. "I keep going because I'm exploring what I love," Ma said.
