In early March 2026, an open-source Al tool called OpenClaw became very popular in China. People call it "the Lobster" because its icon is a red lobster. It started a nationwide trend called"raising lobsters"-that means installing(安装), setting up, and customizing (定制) the tool. Thousands of tech fans waited in line for free setup in Shenzhen and Shanghai, and paid set up services also became popular online quickly. 

Unlike common chatbots like ChatGPT, OpenClaw is made to do real work. It can run locally on many operating systems and works well with everyday office software. It can automatically do data analysis, edit documents, and fix code, acting as a useful "digital worker". This change from just talking to doing things has made people want more compatible devices (设备); Apple's Mac mini, a good choice for local use, has sold out all over the world Big tech companies like Tencent and Baidu have added one-click setup to make it easier to use, and local governments have made helpful policies to support related research and new ideas. 

However, fast growth also brings big risks. China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has warned that wrong setup may cause cyberattacks and data leaks (泄露). Because of his risk, some big international companies have stopped using OpenClaw at work. Also, people who use it a lot have to keep paying for expensive language model APIs. 

As international media said, OpenClaw shows the quick rise of useful AI tools and can help people work much better. But to make it grow well and last long, we need a balanced way: we must mix technology innovation, internet safety, and cost control together. 

 Many people may throw away the pits inside fruits after eating them, but inheritors of nut carving(核雕继承人) have turned them into artworks instead. 

Weifang nut carving goes back to the Qing Dynasty. During that time, an old imperial (皇家)craftsman Wang Dayan spread the skill to the local people in Shandong Province. Craftsmen back then often used peach pits (核桃) to show off their artistic skills. Because of the high level of carving skills needed, the traditional culture and its rich artistic theme, Weifang nut carving was listed s national intangible cultural heritage (国家非物质文化遗产) in 2008. 

"One nut, from 0. 8 to 6 centimeters long, can be made into fan pendants (坠饰), earrings,buttons, seals(印章) and so on," said Tan Wanhai, 48, an inheritor of Weifang nut carving. Tan has studied the art of nut carving for 25 years and has created many nut carvings. 

 However, the craftsman also said that bringing this kind of artwork to life is not easy. "Unlike some pits like olive (橄榄) pits which have a fat surface, each peach pit has its own special texture(质地) like human fingerprints," Tan said, adding that, craftsmen have to study each peach pit to carefully plan out their artwork. 

Nut carving craftsmen also need to have knowledge in many areas. According to Tan, they have to master skills in painting, seal carving and calligraphy from many traditional cultures. 

 Thanks to their creative design and fresh ideas, Weifang nut carving artworks have been increasingly welcomed by people in China. More people are learning the art and have even become inheritors to pass down the skill to young people. 

"Now, the number of inheritors IS about000. But I believe it could be bigger. More craftsmen now give up the tradition of passing down the skill only through the family and open itup to anyone who is-interested in learning the skill," said Tan. 

On a sunny yet wet day, a group of students from Kuichong No. 2 Primary School visited the Baguang Heritiera Wetland Park in Dapeng, Shenzhen. 

Guided by volunteers from the Baguang Nature School, the students embarked (开始) on an educational journey to explore the natural environment Their main job was to learn about mangroves (红树) and the protection of ancient trees. 

There was an old group of mangroves in the park. With the help of the volunteers, the students watched these ancient mangroves carefully. They also had a close look at other plants. Besides, they saw some really fun little animals. Some brave students even got to touch them softly. Many students were so interested that they wanted to grow trees and took some seeds home. 

The Baguang Nature School is very special. It depends a lot on volunteers for nature education. The local mountains, seas, and rivers are its open classrooms, where students and visitors can learn all kinds of knowledge about plants and animals. It was set up in 2020 and is one of the seven national-level nature schools in Shenzhen. Gradually, it has become an important place for environmental education. Up to now, more than 10,000 people have taken part in the nature education activities it organized. 

What's more, the school has worked with some schools and other organizations to hold different activities. These activities help students understand biodiversity (生物多样性) better. The school always tries to get more people to protect nature. Up to now, it has held over 70 events and educated more than 2,300 people.
