Hi, my name is Lisa. I live in Sydney, Australia. The seasons here are opposite to those in China. When it's winter in China, it's summer in Sydney.

Summer in Sydney is from December to February. It's hot and sunny. I often go to the beach with my family. We swim in the sea and build sandcastles.

Autumn is from March to May. The weather is cool and the leaves turn orange and brown. I like to walk in the park and collect beautiful leaves.

Winter in Sydney is from June to August. It's not very cold, and it rarely snows. I wear a warm jacket and go to the zoo with my friends.

Spring is from September to November. The flowers bloom and the birds sing. I love to plant flowers in my garden and fly kites in the park.

Seasons are different in different parts of the world. In most countries, there are four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Spring usually starts in March. The weather gets warmer, and trees and flowers start to grow. People like to go hiking, have picnics and fly kites in spring.

Summer comes after spring. It is usually the hottest season. Days are long, and nights are short. People enjoy swimming, going to the beach and eating ice cream. Some people also go on holidays during summer.

Autumn begins around September. The temperature drops, and leaves turn yellow and red. Farmers are busy with harvest. People often pick fruit and enjoy the cool weather.

Winter is the coldest season. It often snows in places with cold winters. People wear warm clothes, make snowmen and have snowball fights. Some people like to go skiing or skating.

When I was a little girl, I lived in a small village with my grandparents. Every season there brought me special happiness.

In spring, the fields 1 green and the flowers came out. Grandpa often took me to the hill to 2 kites. The wind was soft and warm, and we laughed loudly as our kite flew high in the sky.

Summer was my favourite season. I often 3 my friends to the river near our village. We swam and played games in the cool water. Sometimes we caught small fish and 4 them back home for dinner.

My Happy Holiday

Last month, I went to Beijing with my family. It was my first time  (visit) the capital of China. We  (take) a high-speed train there, which was fast and comfortable.

On the first day, we went to Tian'anmen Square. There were  (hundred) of people there. We watched the flag-raising ceremony early in the morning. It was very  (excite). Then we visited the Palace Museum. We saw many old and beautiful things.
