Is entering the general high school the only way to realize our dreams?

In recent years, the general high school entrance examination rate in Guangdong is only about 56%.

Let's imagine, you are a teenager who has just graduated from high school. Your goal is to have a successful job. What is the best way to achieve this goal? The correct answer is to go to university. Because right now, people who have a bachelor's degree（学士学位）make 60%more than high school finishers. They are also 3 times less likely to lose their jobs, and they are more satisfied with their jobs too. Why do so many people say degrees are useless? One study found that there was only a low correlation（关联）between the person's education level and how well they perform on their jobs. So is university worth it or not? To find this out, we firstly have to understand the real reason why university graduates are doing so much better in life. The universities would like you to think it is because students are taught skills which are valuable in the job market. But this just isn't happening. 

Now, take a look at a degree in education. It is surprising that out of 170 studies, only 9%found that teachers with higher university education were better at teaching. The most of them found" no effect" and some of them even found a little bad effect. This means that the degree doesn't do much to improve the quality of teachers. 

Clearly, some people think universities aren't that necessary to the process of learning. What do you think about it?

The Spring Festival Gala is always full of surprises, and this year, the performance was named" Yangko with Robots" really stood out. in this fascinating show, 16 human-like robots, dressed in traditional Chinese costumes, danced together with sixteen . These robots were so amazing! They could twist their waists（扭腰）  , kick their leg just like humans, and even throw and spin handkerchiefs（转手帕）with great skills. These robots were  by Unitree Robotics（宇树机器人）, a leading Chinese robotics company in Hangzhou. 

The development team from Unitree added 3 extra joints（关节）to each robot's arm, giving them 19 joints  total. This made the robots much more flexible（灵活的）. Also, with AI learning technology, the robots could  to move and dance around, on their own. The whole dance took nearly 3 months to train. 

Finally, they could stay well-connected, and perform in perfect steps. This  show mixed traditional yangko dance with modern robot technology. 

It showed not only the beauty of traditional Chinese culture but also the great  of China's Ai technology. Since it was on TV, people have  it continuously online. People were so  to get a new and exciting feeling at the Spring Festival Gala!

Scientists have long known that a good night's sleep is important for brain health. Recently a new study has found that daytime naps（小睡）can also be good for the brain. 

Researchers from University College London in the UK and the University of the Republic in Uruguay looked at small parts of people's DNA. There are 97 parts of DNA in humans that can tell whether a person is likely to be a daytime napper or not. They used data from about 35, 000 people in the UK between the ages of 40 and 69. They found people in the study whose DNA made them more likely to nap during the day and people whose DNA showed they didn't need to nap. 

The results showed that those who like to nap had larger brains than those who didn't. The brain naturally gets smaller with age, so this means that the brains of people who like to nap age more slowly than people who don't nap. The people who nap have brains that are bigger than those who don't. 

Dr. Victoria Garfield said the research could help scientists understand how people could preserve the health of their brains as they got older. She added, " I hope studies such as this one showing the health benefits of short naps can help to change any bad impression of daytime napping. "

The researchers didn't have information about how long the naps of people in the study lasted. Other studies, however, have suggested that naps of about 30 minutes are the most helpful for the brain. Taking a nap earlier in the day, rather than in the late afternoon, is less likely to disturb（干扰）a person's sleep at night. 

It was a memorable experience. When I heard that our school was going to hold an English dubbing（配音）competition, I didn't think to 1  the competition. When I spoke in front of my teachers and classmates, I always felt 2  . But something deep inside pushed me to put my fear aside and catch this golden chance. 3  , I made my decision.
