On the final day of the Milan Winter Olympics, Gu Ailing successfully kept her crown in the women's freestyle skiing halfpipe event. This victory added to her earlier achievements—two silver medals in slopestyle and big air just days before. At only 22 years old, Gu has become the female freestyle skier with the most Olympic medals in history.

As Youth celebrates its 10th birthday, I want to share my story with it.

Liang Sicheng was the son of Liang Qichao, one of the famous thinkers in the early 20th century. But he made a name for himself. He is known as "the father of modern Chinese architecture (建筑)".

Born into a well-educated family, Liang studied architecture in the United State. But he had a strong interest in Chinese architecture. He returned to China in 1928. With his wife Lin Huiyin, he led the study of ancient Chinese architecture by visiting the buildings in person and making careful records. In the 1930s and 1940s, they checked more than 2,700 traditional buildings across the country. They drew paintings of these buildings to help people better learn about them.

His most important discovery was finding the Foguang Temple in Shanxi Province in 1937. This proved that China still had ancient wooden buildings from the Tang Dynasty. During the war against Japan, he kept working in difficult conditions and wrote China's first complete history of architecture. His book A Picture Book of Chinese Architecture is still very important today.

Liang also helped young Chinese people get the chance to learn about architecture. He founded the architecture departments (院系) at Northeast University and Tsinghua University.

Today, Liang is remembered through his books and the architecture departments that he founded. His idea that "old buildings are the heart of a country" still guides how we protect our cultural heritage (遗产).

It's reported that over 3.5 million smishing texts are sent out every day. But the cheats have no power over you unless they can get you to trust them. Some cheats even do research on victims (受骗者) so that they can sound more real.

If you check your message and can't make sure whether it's safe, ask yourself these questions: Was I expecting this message? Is there any way for me to find out who the sender is? Don't join the millions of people who lose big from smishing every year. Stop and think before you click that link.

When Emma woke up, she didn't feel very well. She had a serious headache. Although she wanted to have a rest, she had to force herself out of bed and get ready for work. Then she hurried to take an umbrella and rushed out into the pouring rain. As she walked, she fought against the bad weather. Emma's umbrella was almost useless as it was raining cats and dogs. To make things worse, the wind blew it inside out. She was immediately wet through. "What a terrible day!" she held back her tears and said to herself.
