On the Japanese island of Yakushima, two species(物种)of animals, the macaque monkeys and sika deer, have developed an unusual relationship. Professor Jean Leca, an animal expert from Canada, stressed that people used to think animals don't have any culture, but the study shows it is wrong now. "It's very reasonable(合情理的)that different animal species can influence each other in their ways of living and how they see the world. This new idea on animal behavior could change our understanding of the animal kingdom. We should also remember that human behavior might not be the only one of its kind in the world, " he says, "However, more research is needed to fully understand how co-culture develops in the animal world.
