Thinking about Careers (职业生涯): What am I good at?

Some children are dreaming of being doctors or scientists when they were young. In fact, you won't have to worry about what job you have in the future—many adults (成人) change careers a lot of times before they find their true passions (热情). And sometimes people find out that their passions are outside of their jobs. There's no hurry! But there are still a few things you can do before choosing your career.

First, it can be fun to start thinking about what you want your future to look like. Do you want to design fashionable clothes? Be a teacher at a school or a manager in a bank? Spend quiet days working on writing or paintings? All those thing are possible! Think of all the qualities (品质) that make you who you are, then try to find out what job would be best with those qualities. If your friend Andy is a good listener, maybe he will become a doctor. If friends often come to you to ask for help in science class, maybe you'll end up being a science teacher or a scientist!

And it's always a good idea to collect ideas about careers from the adults around you. Start by asking the closest adults about all the jobs they've had in their lives. They might give you a big surprise.

Most people think the Chinese New Year's (celebrate) goes on for only one day, but in fact it (last) for fifteen days, and some of these days have their own festivals. The most important of these is the festival the 15th day, the Lantern Festival. It's also a very (tradition) festival.
