A 14-year-old middle school student from Zhengzhou, Henan Province, built his own telescope (望远镜), using plastic pipes, parts of a drum set and other materials. The student, named Ma Junhe, spent just 70 yuan building a Newtonian telescope. He has even observed（观察）the moon' s surface with it.

I'm Emily and I'm a middle school student. What kind of activities do you have in your school? In our school, we have a special activity in October every year. It's a great way to relax and have fun after studying hard.

Last month was October.The school was full of laughter and joy. Students came to school early in the morning. The activity was held on the playground. There were games like bean-pinching contests(夹豆子比赛), rope skipping (跳绳) competitions, and relay races (接力赛). Everyone was excited to try their best and show their skills.

My Favourite Season

Maddie is a 5 - year - old girl. Spring is her favourite season. At this time every year, two wonderful things happen to her. First her grandma comes and then the cranes (鹤).
