Last night, I cooked an Italian dish—spaghetti with meat sauce(肉酱) for my family.

I put enough spaghetti into a pot of boiling and salty water. I let it cook for about ten minutes. Before this, I made meat sauce.

I wanted the meat sauce to be really delicious. I cut up an onion. Then I put a little oil into a pot, added the onion and cooked it in the oil for a few minutes.

When the onion was soft, I put some ground (切碎的) beef into the pot and cooked them together for a few minutes. Then I added tomatoes and some mixed herbs (香草). Finally, I added some tomato juice and cooked them over a low heat for about an hour.

Next, I cooked the spaghetti in the boiling water. After that, I put it into a large bowl. Then I poured the meat sauce over it. There was enough for everyone. And we all put some cheese on the top of the spaghetti.

Everyone enjoyed it, and Mum said she would let me cook something else another day. I'm going to read a cookbook and find something really interesting to cook.

Do you usually cook for yourself ? Maybe some of you are too young to cook on own. But I started cooking again after many years of depending on (依靠) to make my meals.

I found a lot of joy in at home. The takeaway is a popular choice for many people these days, but the food cooked at home is than the takeaway. There is something really satisfying about eating a dish you made yourself. It's relaxing and to cut up vegetables and add seasoning (调味品). I think my mom will be glad that I loved cooking again.

I'm a sunflower. I come a big field full of colorful flowers and green grass. Every day, I stand tall, facing bright sun.
