Good visiting manners make our e  enjoyable. When we visit museums, places of interest, or friends' homes, it's important to f  proper rules.

When visiting museums, remember three rules. First, many places have p  signs saying "No touching" or "No photos" — follow these instructions. Second, keep your v  down. Just enjoy art and history quietly. Third, never run or shout as it troubles others.

When visiting a friend's home, bring a small g  like flowers or chocolates. You are e  to take off shoes in some families. Never t  private things if the host doesn't agree.

For group visits like school trips, stay with your group and listen c  to guides. Put up your hand for questions i  of shouting out.

As the saying goes, "Good manners will open doors that the best education cannot." Let's all be polite visitors!

In recent years, China has tried its best to protect the environment and achieved great results. These achievements include many areas. Let's take a closer look at some of these successes.

Renewable Energy

China is now the world's largest producer of solar and wind energy. By building huge solar farms and wind turbines the country offers clean power to millions of homes. In 2022, China became the top in producing solar power across the world. This helps cut coal use and air pollution.

Greener Lands and Forests

China has planted billions of trees to keep soil in place and fight against desertification. The Great Green Wall project, set up in 1978, has built forests covering over 46 million hectares — an area larger than Germany! The government has also returned over 34 million hectares of farmland to forests or grasslands since 1999, which is good for protecting the environment.

Clearer Skies in Cities

Air pollution used to be a serious problem in cities like Beijing. However, some laws have made air quality better. Beijing's average PM 2.5 level dropped by about 63% between 2013 and 2021. Many cities now have more blue sky days than before.

Green Transport

In 2023, over 60% of the world's electric vehicles (EVs) were made in China. China leads the world in EV production and sales. Cities like Shenzhen have already used electric buses and taxis completely instead of oil-powered ones, lowering air pollution and noise pollution.

China's environmental achievements show that progress is possible when people and government work together. As students, we can also take action to make a difference by saving energy, recycling and reusing. After all, protecting the Earth is everyone's duty!

The film Dear You has a deep  on people of all ages. The grandfather left his hometown to work far away and he  enjoyed an easy life all those years. Seeing how lonely his wife was, his friend decided to  letters in the grandpa's name to cheer her up. She hoped that the wife would not  loneliness and sadness any longer. All these warm acts truly  to the family and greatly move people's hearts.

Since it came out, the film Dear You has  (successful) touched the hearts of millions of people. Beautiful local traditions  (show) in this movie. The grandpa in the story  (die) many years ago, but his love for the family never ended. The special "qiaopi" letters  (use) to carry both money and love at that time. But now, they also record the great changes and  (develop) of times.

Dear You, a dark horse in the Chinese film industry in 2026, tells a warm story of family love that has  (继续) for many years. At the heart of the story is qiaopi (侨批), a special kind of letter with both messages and  (财富) sent by Chinese people abroad. The story is set in the beautiful Chaoshan area. It shows us the special historical  (背景) of local families at that time. In the film, a young man travelled to Thailand to look for his grandpa and found out the real  (原因) of the family's long separation and his grandpa's friend kept the  (承诺) for nearly forty years.

I was now in my twenty-seventh year on the island. One evening, Friday went out to look for food. But soon he was back, and he looked very afraid.

"Master! Master!" he cried, "There's a great ship near the island, and men are coming to the beach in a boat!"

I jumped up and ran with him down to the beach. I saw that it was an English ship! But why was it here? English ships never came this way. Perhaps they were pirates! "Don't let them see you, Friday!" I called, "We'll hide in the trees and watch."

There were eleven men in the boat, but three of them were prisoners. Their arms were tied with a rope. The other sailors pushed the three prisoners up the beach, laughing and shouting and hitting them. The three prisoners walked slowly along the beach and sat down under a tree, not far from us. They looked very unhappy.

Very quietly, I came up behind them through the trees, and called out to them in English.

"Don't be afraid," I said. "I'm an Englishman. Perhaps I can help you."

The three men turned and looked at me. They did not answer at once. They were too surprised.

Perhaps they thought I was a wild man, in my strange clothes made of animals' skins, and with my long hair and beard.

Then the oldest man spoke, "I am the captain of that ship," he said, "and these two men are my first and second officers. Last night there was a mutiny, and the seamen took the ship from me. Now they're going to leave the three of us here, to die on this island."

"Do these mutineers have guns?"

"Only two," he answered, "and they've left those on the boat."

"All right," I said. "We'll fight them. But if we get your ship back for you, you must take me back to England."

Friday ran back to my house to get all the guns, and the captain and I made a plan.

Plastic is everywhere in our lives. We use plastic bottles, bags and food packaging every day. People once loved plastic because it was cheap and easy to use. It brought great benefits to our daily life. However, as time goes by, it has slowly turned into a hidden danger and has become a big problem for our health. Research says if we keep using plastic as we do now, the harm it causes will be more than doubled by 2040, affecting millions of people in both rich and poor countries.

Plastic is dangerous not only when it turns into waste. Every step of its life is bad for us. When people make or burn plastic, factories send out tiny particles and harmful gases. These can cause breathing problems, heart illnesses, and even more serious diseases. The chemicals in plastic can also go into our food and drinking water. They slowly hurt our bodies, and young children and babies are much easier affected.

Tiny plastic pieces called microplastics are even more worrying. Scientists have found them in human blood, lungs and brains. They stay in our bodies for a long time and make us sick.

Poor countries face the worst plastic pollution problems. They often have unsafe plastic factories. People there, especially babies and children, breathe polluted air and drink dirty water every day. Plastic pollution is not just an environmental problem — it is a big public health problem that we all need to pay attention to.

The International Olympic Committee was set up in Paris on June 23, 1894. To remember this great moment, people made June 23 the Olympic Day.

 The Olympic Games have a history of thousands of years. But do you know they are closely connected with ancient Greek gods?

The ancient Olympic Games started as a big festival for Zeus, the king of the Greek gods. People built a temple for him in a town called Olympia. Every four years, messengers told everyone to come there. Thousands of people went to see the temple and watch sports games there.

However, only men could join the games at first. They took part in running, jumping, boxing and wrestling. People believe the first ancient Olympic Games were in 776BC. They went on for about 400 years. Then the games stopped for 1,500 years.

The modern Olympic Games started on April 6, 1896. In 1900, women were first allowed to join the games.

Ancient winners didn't get gold, silver or bronze medals. Instead, they got a crown made of olive leaves. When they went back home, people treated them like heroes because people thought they must have been touched by the gods.

In China, treating guests warmly is a fine tradition.1 are Chinese people so hospitable and kind? In fact, it is our old custom. If you are invited to a Chinese home, you will easily feel how they treat you 2 an honored guest.
