At the beginning of my journey of learning Peking Opera, I had great confidence that I could perform it wonderfully. Later, I found that I was wrong. The most difficult part is that an actor has to first understand the feelings of the characters. To prove my ideas, I would like to share one of my experiences. Once, I acted as Lin Chong, a hero of Water Margin (《水浒传》). It was hard for me to understand his feelings when he rushed to Liangshan on a snowy night. I couldn't sing or perform the way Lin Chong did, so I felt very upset.

My teacher seemed to notice my problem. One day, she came up to me and said, "The future is like the sea. There will be a long way to go before you succeed. Wipe (擦) the tears away from your eyes and keep practicing."

After listening to my teacher's touching words, I suddenly felt my confidence came back. I bought a copy of Water Margin and began to read it at once. While reading part of the novel, I knew that Lin was recalling his life before he was on the way to Liangshan at that night. He had to leave his family, his job and so on. After I finished reading the novel, I spent a whole evening thinking about his life story. After that, I spent more time practicing. In the end, I had a better understanding of the characters in this novel.

There are many chances in our life. As long as we catch each of them and take full advantage of them, we will achieve our dreams. It's also our task to pass on our excellent traditional Chinese culture.

In Grade One, they argued during a sports game. In Grade Three, their chess club meetings often ended with "You can't move there," and "Why are you so slow?"

Everything changed in Grade Five when both girls were chosen to play bunny rabbits in the school play. During rehearsals (彩排), Arizona and Summer did their best to stand far from each other. But their director, Mr. Jackson, asked them to cooperate and sing the "Funny Bunny" song as a team.

They agreed and had to communicate during the practice. During the break, they started talking about their old arguments. They imitated (模仿) their childhood arguments in a little kid voice again: "This is my toy." "No, this is MY toy." Soon they laughed loudly because the voice sounded so funny. "What if we use this voice in our song?" Summer suggested. "Excellent! Everyone will be surprised." Arizona agreed.

They practiced hard every day. Summer noticed that Arizona was quite good at singing, and Arizona discovered that Summer was always able to find a way out of difficult situations. Slowly, they started to understand each other instead of arguing. In the school play, their song was a big success. People cheered for them and laughed happily.

When the performance ended, Arizona looked up and met Summer's smiling eyes. For the first time in years, there was no anger or competition in their eyes—only understanding and joy.

Today, movie theatres offer many snacks, but one snack stands out above the rest—popcorn.

Popcorn and movies go together like bread and butter, although popcorn wasn't always the top snack at theatres. In the old days, theatre owners wanted to attract people with better taste, especially those who enjoyed live plays. They thought popcorn was too messy and the crunching sound (嘎吱声) was too loud for their theaters.

Things changed during the Great Depression (大萧条). People needed a break from their worries, and movies were a good way to relax. Street sellers started selling popcorn outside theatres, and it quickly became popular because it was delicious and affordable. Theatres saw this and let them sell popcorn inside too. Before long, the theatre owners learned they could make and sell popcorn and keep the money for themselves!

During World War II, when many foods were scarce (缺乏的), popcorn was still widely available. This made it even more popular, and it solidified (巩固) its place as a must-have for every movie showing.

Nowadays, you can't go to the movies without seeing a line for popcorn. Everyone loves it!

So, the next time you sit down to enjoy a film, remember to get a big bowl of popcorn. It's not just a snack; it is part of the movie magic!

Shadow puppets here are made of hard donkey leather (皮革). The leather is carefully cut into the shapes of characters, animals, or objects from traditional stories. Each puppet is painted in bright colors and put on sticks. Some even have movable arms and legs, making them look lively.

Nowadays, with so many forms of entertainment like movies and online videos, traditional shadow puppet plays are not as popular as before. But Li Ming and his team keep performing. They even visit local schools to teach students about this art. "We don't earn much, but we feel happy to keep this part of Hebei's culture alive," Li says.

Ne Zha 2 is an amazing film. A lot of people were involved in (make) it. It was a great success. I watched it with my friends.

The film (show) Ne Zha's growth. At first, Ne Zha was an impulsive (冲动的) boy. Later, after suffering a lot of challenges, he began to realize his own problems. And then he changed himself. Also he became someone who does the right thing in end.

After (watch) the movie, some thoughts came to my mind. I used to care what people thought of me. I always worried no one liked me. So I seldom refused others' requests easily agreed with others' opinions. But now I ask (I), "Is that important? The biases (偏见) in people's (mind) are like a mountain, which can't be removed however hard we try." It's just like after the Chentang Pass (陈塘关) (destroy), everyone thought it was Shen Gongbao who did it. After watching this film, I want to say, "We cannot change others' minds (easy), so just be ourselves. If you are doing what you think (be) right, just do it. Don't be influenced by others' opinions."

Thanks to the movie, I (change) a lot now. It has a big effect me. I pay more attention to myself and speak out my ideas instead of keeping (silence). If I don't want to do something, I (turn) it down. I have to say that good films are really important for shaping our values.
